Begin each morning with this simple meditation. Be guided through a simple breathing practice with beautiful music to quiet your mind before your day begins. You'll be guided through the first half, then on your own for the remainder.

As you settle into a calming space sitting up you can prepare yourself for this simple daily breath counting meditation.

You'll soften your thoughts and breathe into stillness for the day ahead.

Rolling your shoulders back and letting your spine straighten.

Closing down your eyes and allowing yourself to let go of any expectations of how you think you should feel or how the next few minutes should go.

Today is a new day and that means you're resetting your focus and starting fresh.

You can feel a sense of peace float up from within you.

As your body knows today is a fresh start.

Begin to notice your breathing allowing it to gently soften.

Knowing that with each breath your body can relax even more.

Relaxing your jaw,

Relaxing the muscles around your eyes and releasing any tension in your body.

Keeping a normal resting breath between each breath.

You'll count starting from 1 to 10 and repeat the process until the end of this meditation.

I'll start with you before you do it at your own pace.

Breathe in and out then count one in your mind in that space between the next breath and in and out two in and out three and so on and continue up to ten then repeat back to one and on your own now and I'll chime in at the end with this sound on your own breathing in and out now and anytime a thought arises simply acknowledge as a thought and return back to your counting from one gently letting the counting stop now and taking a deep breath in and out and noticing how you feel scan your body now from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet and notice how much more relaxed you feel with more clarity than before knowing you'll take this feeling with you throughout the day and as you place a smile on your face now you can feel good feelings stem from your heart space outwards to your whole body and notice them extend out to your whole life have a beautiful fresh new day

Very centering. I like the count between breaths. It’s relaxing to sit and hold space in those moments between breaths. This meditation is great aurally too - the combination of the bird song, music and your voice works really well. I like the body scan at the end too. Helps to increase your awareness of how you feel. You also enunciate your words clearly and speak confidently and at a good pace. I also like the concept of each day being a chance to start fresh. This meditation is a great way to start your day and I think 10 minutes is a good length to really settle in and become present.
