Transcript
Welcome to this power nap.
Make your body really comfortable now.
Closing your eyes and mentally repeating these words.
For this power nap I give my mind and body a complete break from all cares,
All effort and all trying.
And I trust that my body will awaken in 20 minutes feeling relaxed and alert.
Let's begin with a few slow and deep breaths.
Inhaling through the nose right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Inhaling low.
Exhaling just letting it all go.
Deep breath in.
Long breath out.
Inhaling.
Belly rises.
Exhaling.
Belly drops.
Be natural.
Body breathing all by itself.
No effort required.
The energies of your mind body system settling down naturally.
This body.
Your presence.
So right now give your body the gift of your full undivided attention.
Feel where your body makes contact with the surface beneath and just let the weight of your whole body fall into that support.
Feel the touch of the clothes or blanket on the skin.
The sensation where your head meets the pillow.
Just the feeling and let the full weight of your head be held.
Tongue resting in the mouth.
Hinges of the jaw loosening.
Eyes softening right back.
The feeling behind eyes softening.
Shoulders sinking down.
Upper body resting.
A softening deep in the belly.
Hips releasing their weight.
The whole right leg.
Whole left leg.
Giving up the weight of the legs.
Not thinking about the body but feeling it directly.
The simple experience.
Whole right arm.
Of right arm.
Whole right hand.
Let the feeling to you.
Of right hand.
Give the feeling time.
Palm of right.
Whatever's there.
Right now.
Palm of right hand.
The whole left arm.
Handing over the weight.
Back of left arm.
The direct sensation.
Whole left hand.
Appearing right now in this moment as pure sensation.
Palm of left hand.
The current feeling.
Not the image or the memory but the actual feeling in this moment.
Palm of left hand.
Tingling.
Palm of left hand.
The whole body.
The whole body.
Pure sensation.
Right now I invite you just to rest here and do absolutely nothing.
Let your body sleep if it wants or simply rest in the welcoming,
Soothing,
Healing balm of just being.
And now let your body take a few more of those slow and deep breaths.
Feeling the whole body as it breathes.
Inhaling like you have all the time in the world.
And exhaling slowly.
Right to the very end.
Inhaling and slow.
And exhaling with a long and soft sigh.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Inhaling and exhaling.
It's time to wake up now.
Let your body move and stretch in whatever way it wants to now.
Returning to its wide awake state.
Relaxed.
Alert.
And ready to continue with your day.
Thank you for joining me for this power nap.

Amandaji, another beautiful guided nap thank you. As I'd mentioned once before, I really enjoy and appreciate the way you use nuanced variations on the comforting and familiar structure of the meditations. I felt that returning to the breathing focus towards the end was a good way to come back refreshed and allowed the ending to be more gentle. You seem to keep on building upon perfection! Heartfelt blessings and love. πβ€ Yes, I noticed the different music and perhaps it was that which provided the nuanced tweak. Thanks for adding this #18 variant. π I like what Susan said - that the meditation is "powerful". This is another great way to describe your meditations Amanda. There is power in the gentleness of the overall meditations, as well as a loving power with which your depth and authenticity imbue the tracks. Many people have well written meditations and some have lovely voices, but it is rare to have both these along with the depth that comes from a lifetime of immersion such as you bring dearest Amanda. Hugs and blessings β€π This was ideal for me again today. Still one ofmy favourites. Blessings Amanda πβ€ You will need a bigger container to store all the gold stars that many of us ate sending you.πβ€π I need to check spelling before sending π An ideal midday Amandagenic circuit breaker for me today tks Amanda πβ€ The perfect balm for me today, as I was feeling very tense. Thanks Amandaji π πβ€ Mmmmm, just what I needed π Keep coming back to this wonderful track each week. Listening to it today, I tried to hold your aches as you helped ease mine. Blessings dear friend πβ€ βββββββ€π Was glad for the end bell today- I was off in the land of nod! π₯°π Amanda, out of the 70+ meditations of yours I have bookmarked, this remains one if my 3-4 favourites! It suits just about every occasion βΊ. πβ€ Had difficulty lying down to nap over the last few days because congestion and wheezing from the chest infection. Now gradually on the mend, this favourite was the perfect choice to get back to your delightful naps.πβ€ I love coming back to this meditation. As mentioned some time ago, it is one of my favourites of the 70+ off yours I listen to. Just saw Jane's comment from December and I couldn't agree more with her sentiments and praise for your gifts and caring nature. Every day you support me through these meditations and I in turn, hold you in my heart and prayers π β€οΈ Ideal again today. Glad for the end bell, as I was about to slide into the delta wave rabbit hole ππ₯° Coming back to this favourite after many weeks. There are so many good meditations including more recent ones so they on a sort of rotation! So helpful as alwaysπ Also just saw Susan's last post and am sending my love and we'll wishes to you and Alan Suze. β€οΈβ€οΈ

Lovely Amanda, I agree with every word Leigh has written. Your nap and back to sleep meditations are a daily hug. I'm sometimes using them multiple times in a night (the psoriasis again) and they always work, giving me precious pockets of rest. This is also one of my favourites in the afternoon. My partner, Alan, is now in an assisted living flat with a diagnosis of Altzheimers and he loves us to do a meditation or two together when Iβm there. You are definitely a favourite with him, too. On good days we get the guitars out and sing as we used to. Whatever the visit has been like, itβs wonderful to be able to come home to your calm, loving voice, re-centre and just Be. Sending such love Suze

I did the power nap course and try to this session daily when I can. It has helped me overcome my resistance to sleep so that I fall asleep more easily most nights.

What a wonderful new piece of yours. Feels also like a soothing warm comforting blanket to me. Another supporting precious gem in my healing journey. Iβm very grateful. Thank you. Your voice accompanies me daily. Much much love to you. β₯οΈππ» btw It reminds me of some of the meditations of your course. Great that I could add this one to my playlist now. Thanks for your kind reply. π«
