Feel the connection of your hips on the ground.
Let your tailbone soften,
Dropping and extending energetically towards the center of the earth.
Perhaps you sense the earth's fiery core and the damp,
Dark soil that fills the space between you and that heat.
Imagine that slowly you start to grow roots underneath you.
These roots begin to slowly weave and snake down through the cool,
Moist soil.
They move and thread and extend at a steady and easy pace towards the fiery center of the earth.
Rest in that connection.
Now,
Find a slight lift through the top of your head towards the sky,
As if someone is pulling you lightly from a string.
A soft,
Sweet suggestion.
Allow your spine to lengthen,
Ever so gently.
As you do,
Imagine a subtle space occurring between every vertebra of your spine.
You could imagine your spine as a feather,
Light and easy.
Perhaps you start to notice a weightless sensation in your being.
As you lengthen into the space above you,
Maintain your connection towards the earth below you.
Stay connected to the movement of your breath.
Slowly draw your attention to the center of your head,
In between your eyebrows.
Feel yourself become lighter and lighter as gravity starts to lose its hold on you.
Stay with your breath.
Visualize a white ball of light in the center of your head,
Rotating 360 degrees.
This ball of light starts to slowly expand,
Engulfing the shape of your cranium,
Absorbing your brain,
Your cranial bones,
The membranes of your skull.
As this ball of light expands,
Fully invite and accept its presence.
Deeply allow it to be there.
If thoughts start to pop into your mind,
Let them be there.
They rise and they fall,
Like the waves of the ocean.
Start to perceive the witnessing presence within you.
Continue to practice coming back to your breath,
This bright light.
As the light continues to expand,
It starts to stream through the center of your forehead,
The space between your eyebrows.
If you would like,
Roll your eyes up and in,
As if you are looking through this space in between your eyebrows.
By the time you reach three,
Two,
One,
You start to feel a new sensation in between your eyebrows,
Perhaps tingling or heat or vibrations.
This may cause a pleasant strain in your eyes.
See if you can allow the sensation to be there.
Stick with it.
Breathe into it.
Allow this light to magnify from the center of your head into the area in front of you.
Feel as if you are literally looking into the world through this space in between your eyebrows.
Your third eye,
Your seat of intuition and inner knowing.
Remain open to seeing whatever is put before you,
Pictures,
Colors,
Shapes.
If you are seeking to connect to a guide or a higher intelligence,
Invite that presence in.
Perhaps say in your thoughts or vocally,
Please surround me,
Fill my heart,
Absorb into every cell of my body.
You are so welcome here.
Repeat these words as many times as you would like,
Softening into them,
Maintaining your attention on your third eye,
The space between your eyebrows.
Whatever happens,
Allow it to happen.
Maintain a state of deep curiosity,
An inner awe at the mystery of what is unfolding.
Start to release the strain from your eyes.
As you slowly shift them from the third eye to their normal position,
Allow them to soften,
To be loose and free.
Be still for a few moments,
Moving your consciousness away from your third eye.
We'll take three breaths together to close this meditation.
Inhale through your nose gently,
Feeling the movement of your breath throughout your lungs.
Exhale through an open mouth,
Softening through your connection of your hips on the ground.
Again,
Inhale,
Feeling the movement of breath around your nostrils and exhale,
Sensing the texture of your breath on your lips.
Final breath in,
Filling your lungs and your abdomen with life-giving breath.
And exhale,
Arriving fully in this moment,
This space,
This body.
Slowly open your eyes.
Your meditation is complete.
Thank you.
Thank you.
