It is recommended that you listen to this meditation often or everyday. Practicing gratitude has been proven to improve one’s mental and physical health, create stronger relationships, and increase one’s happiness and life satisfaction. In this meditation, you will be guided into different parts of your body and life that you are grateful for, even if or especially if you don’t feel like you experience gratitude at present. If you are paralysed or bald, unemployed or retired, you might want to modify the suggestions according to your own body and life. May this bring you joy, contentment, acceptance and appreciation for where you are and what you have. Music by Tom Ashbrook and Garth Stevenson

Hey,

How's it?

It's your girl Alta reminding you to be grateful today.

So let's get into it.

Get into a position your body wants to be in today,

Whether it's a seated,

Standing or recumbent position.

Take your time to settle in and get comfortable.

Close your eyes.

Take a delicious deep breath in and then sigh it out.

Do this twice more,

Utilizing the breath like a vehicle to help you land in this place and moment that you are in right now.

Grounding into your body a bit more with each exhale and then eventually joining your lips together as you settle into the practice.

Take a moment to notice how you feel right now without labeling it good or bad.

Relax your jawbone and draw your shoulders and earlobes away from each other.

Depending on your position,

Drop down further into either your sit bones,

Spine or feet.

Relax your forehead,

Kneecaps and belly.

Continue breathing gently and fully.

Starting from the basics,

What about your toes and feet are you grateful for?

And your hips,

Your belly,

Your hands and fingers.

If you catch yourself saying or thinking anything negative about these parts,

Remember we're focusing on gratitude on these parts.

What about your skin are you grateful for?

Your hair and your brain.

What about your struggles,

Past or present,

Are you grateful for?

What in your bathroom are you grateful for?

And in your bedroom?

Living room?

Kitchen?

Around the house?

What about your mode of transport are you grateful for?

And the roads you travel often?

What about the weather today makes you feel grateful?

What about work are you grateful for?

Or lack thereof?

Think of people in your life that you are very grateful for and what about them makes you feel this way.

What about your personality brings you gratitude?

And your life.

Now let your mind come up freely with more things you are grateful for.

That's it,

Well done.

May this practice go with you into your day and life and grow your portfolio of gratitude.

Come back soon and often and practice again.

Lots of love and gratitude.

What a beautiful, joyful meditation! The concept of scanning my body, my surroundings, my vehicle, looking for different things to feel grateful for was a delight! Thank you so much for this gift!
