This meditation on the element Earth uses Tibetan singing bowls for the heart, solar plexus, third eye, throat, and crown chakras. This soothing ambient background is for a listener to enter a deep state of pure relaxation, with the ebb and flow of the sound of the Atlantic ocean. While focusing on the element of Earth, the guided meditation is a reminder that we have the ability to flow through states of being with perfect ease.

This meditation focuses on the element Earth.

At the very core of our physical existence,

Earth is a container to all life.

It holds us in a vast interconnectedness with each other and with all elements,

Earth,

Water,

Fire,

Air and space.

Adding water to sand,

The Earth flows to a river,

Adding fire to rock,

It explodes into the air.

The seemingly immovable Earth is always changing and flowing through states.

So just like us in our internal world,

Our emotions,

Thoughts and sensations also arise and pass.

So with this meditation,

We will focus on this thought of being a container that holds all life with this ability to flow through states of being with perfect ease.

Sitting or lying comfortably,

Let's begin our practice.

Using the sound as your guide,

Follow the ebb and flow and we will take a long slow breath in,

Breathing for six seconds,

Hold and then a long exhale out for six seconds.

Breathe in,

Hold and breathe out a long slow exhale.

Breathe in,

Hold and breathe out,

Expanding into the space.

In one more longer breath,

Breathe in,

Hold and breathe out a long slow breath.

Falling deeper into your body,

Relax your breath,

Fall into a rhythm that's comfortable.

Breathe in,

Hold and breathe out,

Expanding into the space.

Relaxing deeper back into your body with each breath,

Release your shoulders or any tension you're noticing in your body.

Relax your eyes,

Bring a soft smile behind your mouth,

Keep an openness in your chest.

Now breathing out your heart,

Feel a loving expansion and openness in your breath in and breath out.

If any thoughts arise,

You can easily begin again by noticing the moment when they arise and reset by following this breath in and easy breath out.

Just focus on the inhale and exhale.

Now breathing in from your stomach,

Inflate as if the sound was breathing into you and exhale and relax.

Breathe into your hips.

Notice the contact points with the earth,

Relax your legs,

Notice your feet,

Relax your toes.

Now we are connected in our home.

From this open expansion of space,

We now will repeat a mantra together.

A mantra is a guide of words you can repeat to yourself internally,

Inviting a deeper mindfulness and loving presence into your practice or daily life.

Repeating internally these words with me.

I am.

I am all life.

I am all love.

I am one.

At any moment in your day,

You can live in your presence with this ease of the breath,

Resetting your mind,

Relaxing your body and quietening the internal activity.

Simply notice,

Bring presence to your breath and begin again with this in and out flow.

We will now end this meditation with a quote from Thich Nhat Anh.

This beautiful quote is a reminder that the earth is always here for us,

To help us renew ourselves,

To share compassion and appreciation for the earth and all beings we share it with.

The oceans,

The lakes,

The clouds,

The elements present in my body and the elements in the cosmos,

I hope to return to the ocean with my indestructible nature.
