As you come in to the space,
The intention of allowing this time for you,
Breathe in,
Eyes open and aware that you are breathing in.
And as you breathe out,
Breathe out through your mouth.
And again with the eyes open,
Breathing in,
Fully aware that that is what you are doing.
And as you breathe out,
Breathe out through the mouth and begin to feel,
Letting the tension and the tightness release from your body.
And on this third and last,
Inhalation with the eyes open.
As you exhale out through the mouth,
A sense of truly arriving in this moment.
Your intention,
Your empowerment is to leave the busyness of your life outside.
That this time for you will be one that is internal.
We cannot always change the situations or experiences we are receiving in our life.
But the one thing that is eternal is our internal self.
Gently close your eyes and ask yourself,
What is your intention for this time?
Is it to quieten the mind?
Is it to push thoughts away?
Is it to leave the busyness of your life outside?
Whilst they are all valid reasons,
Perhaps there is a way we can shift the thought and the feeling to one that is more nurturing.
Rather than pushing away the external sources of our existence,
The situations,
Relationships or demands,
Why not turn the focus inward,
To focus on the inner light,
To allow it to shine brighter.
By bringing the awareness inside ourselves,
We ignite a brighter flame.
One that enables us and empowers us to see the situations in our life more clearly.
We are able to view as the witness that which we wish to have in our life,
The things that no longer serve us and the ones that are challenging us,
We are able to see the way to navigate through them.
To begin,
Place your hands on the skull and as you breathe in,
Bring awareness to where you feel your hands touch your crown or perhaps the back of your head.
Then as you breathe in,
Imagine you are breathing in beneath your hands and as you breathe out,
That you are breathing out through your hands.
You are aware of where you feel the pressure points between your hands and your skull.
If your mind is busy,
Other thoughts coming into it,
Do not push them away but rather bring the focus deeper into the feeling of your hands upon your head,
The feeling of breathing in and breathing out.
Work with the simple sentence we have shared inside your mind saying,
I am breathing in,
I am breathing out,
I am breathing in,
Aware of the feeling of my hands upon my head.
I am breathing out with that same feeling.
Every inhalation is as though you are breathing in from beneath your hands where they touch your skull.
Every exhalation breathing out through that same place.
Breathing in to the epicenter of your skull.
Breathing out like a wave back from the center to the surface.
Letting go of any tension,
Any busy thoughts,
Anything that does not serve to bring you immense peace.
Your arms now rested,
You are simply observing this feeling.
Feel how the tension leaves the face,
The eyes seem to drift deeper into the skull as they lose their tension,
The jaw relaxing,
The tongue softening and the tension seems to melt from your neck and your shoulders.
The wave of the release breath expanding further.
Letting go of the tightness across the forehead.
Breathing into that awareness you are breathing in through the skull.
Taking the inhalation to the epicenter of your skull.
The exhalation like a pebble dropped onto the surface of a still pond makes its way back out to the surface.
Releasing any tension,
Tightness,
Busy thoughts,
Anything that is not you,
Your peaceful divine self.
The softness in your face,
In your mind.
We gently move our hands to the place at the center of your chest where your sternum is,
The center of the breastbone.
You may lay your hands flat over this area,
You may have your hands in prayer with your thumbs touching this area,
Or perhaps it is your fingertips that you have against your sternum.
Whatever feels comfortable to you.
As you breathe in you are breathing in beneath your fingers,
Your hands.
As you breathe out you are breathing out through that same area.
You begin to feel the tension and the tightness of the center of the chest releasing.
In your mind's eye as you breathe in you take and invite the breath to the epicenter of your heart,
The divine heart.
Not the physical heart but the divine self in the center of your body.
That place halfway between the sternum and the spine.
Breathe into this area to the very center of your being and as you breathe out that ripple like the pebble dropped onto the surface of a still pond,
The ripple makes its way slowly outward through your chest,
Your ribs,
Your shoulders,
Your back,
Your spine.
You are breathing in to the center of your heart space.
You are breathing out with an expansion of the heart space.
The energy of the inner light expanding.
You feel how the muscles of the chest and shoulders begin to soften.
Feel how the sternum seems to lift whether you are seated or laying.
There seems to be this rising of the sternum.
When we stop,
Pause,
Breathe and connect and witness the difference between our mind and our thoughts and our heart and our inner light,
Incredible transformations unfold.
Nothing in your life may have changed and yet everything in your life has changed because you have shifted into heart awareness.
No longer caught in the maze of the mind.
May this simple technique become a way of living that frees you.
Breathe into the heart,
Breathe out from the heart.
Feel the waves of peace and calm through your body.
The waves moving down through the soles of your feet,
Out through your hands,
Through your spine,
Through your organs,
Through your chest,
Your throat,
Up into your skull and through your mind.
You are aware of your thoughts and your mind where you begun the technique but you are aware that the heart is much brighter,
Much stronger and the waves of the heart are calming the mind.
Breathe in a little deeper,
Feel your entire body as you exhale grounding,
Fully aware of where you are,
Aware of if you are sitting or laying,
Breathing in deeply,
Beginning to move through your head,
Your hands,
Your feet.
Before you open your eyes,
Bring into your mind's eye the visualization of the heart space and the mind.
You are aware of where you placed your hands at the beginning on your skull,
Where your thoughts were,
Where the busyness was,
Where the tension was is no longer there.
And then in your mind's eye you remember when you placed your hands on your heart and you felt the ability to truly let go through an inner light shining brighter.
Now deeply stretching,
Fully awake and present,
Gently opening the eyes and ready to move into your life with a brighter more expanded heart space.
At this time it is our time to connect deeply within our hearts and in doing so deeply with each other.
