Gift yourself time to immerse in the rhythm of your breath, allowing it to become a doorway into the open space within your mind and heart, nurturing calm and connection. As you pause here, notice how each breath softens the edges of your thoughts, inviting presence to quietly return you to yourself.

Transcript

Welcome.

Find yourself in a comfortable position,

Somewhere where you can sit with a soft yet upright spine,

Or lie down with your body fully supported.

Allow your hands to rest where they feel natural,

And then gently soften your gaze,

Feeling the breath flowing in and out of you.

Just notice,

Feel the breath,

Feel it come in,

Feel it flow out.

Make any adjustments through your body,

Moving through your shoulders,

And then with your gaze soft,

Soften it some more,

Or perhaps gently close your eyes.

Let's take three grounding breaths,

Breathing in through the nose,

And then exhale,

Slow,

Yet fully,

From your mouth.

When you're ready,

Inhaling again through the nose,

And as you exhale,

A feeling of letting go,

Letting go on a mental level,

Letting go on a physical level,

Letting go on an emotional level.

And then again,

Breathing in,

And then slowly,

One final exhalation,

Out your mouth.

Letting go of your day,

And those thoughts.

Now allow your lips to close,

And let the breath return,

In and out the nose.

Now notice your breath as though you are watching a gentle ocean wave,

Lapping the shore.

Gently coming in,

Kissing the sand,

Then slowly pulling back into the ocean.

Without judgment,

Notice the quality of your breath.

Is it long,

Or is it short?

Is it smooth,

Or jagged?

Stay curious,

But not in control.

We're just wanting to observe.

Now imagine that you step further back,

Back away from the observation,

Into a deeper space of being,

So your breath softens,

And naturally begins to meet the rhythm of your heart.

Feel your breath become more spacious,

More nurturing.

Let it soothe itself,

And soothe you.

Feel it center you.

In your mind's eye,

Allow a gentle mist to carry you,

To a familiar shoreline,

And just sit,

Or stand,

And open your arms wide.

The sea is still,

The sky and the light is soft,

And you know this place,

And you allow this place to nurture you,

To give you space.

Feel yourself embrace the space.
