Good morning.
Welcome to a new day and a fresh start.
Make your way into a comfortable seat or if it serves you better,
You can even stay in bed for this meditation if that's where you are now.
As you settle into a comfortable,
Still position,
Take a moment to notice the parts of your body that meet the floor,
Bed,
Or chair beneath you.
Invite a grounding sensation to those parts of the body and imagine they are sinking even further down into that space.
Now notice your breath.
You might even place one hand on your belly and one hand on your chest for a moment.
Take a few natural breaths and as you do that,
Feel the effortless flow of breath as your belly and chest rise and fall.
Each breath in is cleansing and energizing the cells in the body,
Replenishing for a deep sense of renewal.
Every time you empty your lungs with an exhale,
You are releasing any stale air or stagnant energy from the night or day before.
Every breath cycle is creating space for the dust to settle in the mind,
Leaving room for clarity and focus in the rest of your day.
If at any point you notice a sense of overwhelm,
Fear,
Or anxiety come up,
Observe those emotions and allow your awareness to drift right back to the simplicity of your breath.
And trust that even if it feels challenging today to sit in stillness and breath,
It's inviting a sense of grounding into your body and mind,
Which will continue with you throughout the rest of your day,
Along with the clarity and focus.
As you inhale,
Refreshing new energy and vitality are moving into your body,
Allowing your exhale to leave space for a new optimistic outlook.
Feel that deep within your bones as you breathe.
Inhale vitality.
Exhale space for optimism.
Inhale vitality.
Exhale space for optimism.
Inhale vitality.
Exhale space for optimism.
Every single breath is a celebration and an opportunity to start fresh.
You are alive.
When thoughts get stuck or resistance or challenge shows up,
Simply remind yourself that all you need to do is breathe.
The challenge or resistance is temporary,
It will pass in its own time,
Just as each breath comes and goes.
Move into this new day with an awakened sense of purpose and ease,
With gratitude in your heart,
Even through the challenging moments,
You got this.
Let's take three final deep breaths together to refresh and ground the body and mind.
Take a big inhale through your nose,
Fill all the way up.
Open your mouth and fully empty your lungs.
Exhale.
Again take a deeper breath in all the way to the top.
Let out a sigh now as you exhale.
Last one,
Take your deepest breath in so far today.
Let everything go as you exhale.
Now start to bring your breath back to its own effortless,
Natural pace.
You can start to make small movements in the body to wake up.
Wiggle fingers and toes.
Stretch the muscles in your face.
Reach your arms up and stretch them out to the sides of the body.
If you're seated,
You can stretch your legs out in front of you and gently fold forward,
Reaching toward your toes.
If you're laying down,
You could bend your knees and hug them into your belly and rock gently side to side.
Acknowledge the shift of energy as you take these small movements and stay here as long as you need to.
Remember that at any point throughout the day,
You can reconnect to the present moment,
Slowing down to feel your breath ground you back to earth and into your body.
