Standing in my strength.
For everybody the ground can get pulled from underneath us.
We can get disorientated,
Destabilized,
Maybe a little bit wobbly.
But the truth remains that we can stand in our own truth and light and strength.
And the way to recover is to simply spend some time back in our own foundation.
So this is a great recovery meditation for if you felt you've lost a little bit of that sense of foundation and ground.
And don't worry it happens to everyone,
Particularly to sensitive people.
Or to begin each day with a particular new moment that you're about to move into to ground yourself and center into your inner strength and claim your own space.
So to begin with decide if you'd like to do this meditation standing or sitting with your feet on the ground.
It's up to you.
And then simply begin to settle into yourself.
Your own personal space.
Your own presence.
Tuning inward but feeling also around you protective space.
You have a physical presence but far bigger and beyond that you have your energy presence,
Your aura.
In your own way reclaim your feeling of being within your own protective aura which is vibrant and rich,
Nourishing and vital.
It's a good space.
A powerful space.
And it's completely yours.
No one can ever take that from you.
Feel that space flowing around you and breathe from it and breathe deep into your own being.
And now move your awareness particularly into your feet.
Where your feet are connected to where you are right now on earth.
Feel that connection underneath.
The soles of your feet.
Your big toe pad.
Your outer little toe pad.
The pad of your inner heel and your outer heel pad.
There's a joining point between you and the stable,
Solid,
Spacious curve of the earth.
She welcomes you.
Breathe there into your feet feeling that connection for a few moments now.
Strengthening from this connection.
Your own foundation.
And now bring your awareness up to your belly,
Your core.
Feel how as you draw breath that space expands.
The core of you spreads more open.
Your presence fills and grows.
Feel how when you breathe out there's a gathering in to that strong,
Stable core to you.
Just take a few more breaths here in your belly feeling how brightly you shine from your centre as your breath illuminates and expands your belly and all of space around you.
And as you release your breath and pour it back in,
You're going inward to that very special deep essence that illuminates you on the inside all the time and again is yours completely.
And now feel how your breath travels from that place in your belly as you breathe in all the way up into your heart,
Your shoulders,
Up to your head.
Each breath you take in there's more of an illumination,
A filling,
An expansion.
And as you breathe there with the rise and fall of your breath,
Begin to feel that you can relax your head,
Neck and shoulders.
You can even shake your arms,
Your hands,
Your wrists.
Feel how your upper body is flexible and fluid.
And use some movement to feel that in your head,
Neck and shoulders and your torso while your feet stay strongly planted and your legs firm.
Like the tree,
You are grounded and strong but with your branches,
Your ideas,
Your imagination,
Your gifts to the world,
You can reach out and you can flourish and grow and blossom.
Imagine,
Draw inside of you the vision of a tree whose roots descend from your feet deep,
Deep down into the earth and whose trunk inside of you grows upward through your legs.
And at your hips,
At that point your pelvis and your belly,
You begin to grow branches that are supple and strong.
Breathing in,
Feel your roots and the robust energy of the tree,
Resilient,
Stable,
Full of health and potential for growth.
Feel how you can draw in more of those qualities,
The ideas of strength and stability and support of the tree into your own being,
Establishing the tree inside of you,
Its beauty.
And feel too the upper part of your body from your pelvis upwards into your arms,
Your hands,
Upward into your shoulders and your head,
The branches,
The leaves,
The blossom that grow from that strong rooted tree trunk.
How the tree flourishes,
Whatever the climate,
Whatever the weather that's coming its way stays deeply rooted,
But also able to move flexibly with fluidity and gracefully.
You might even want to move again whilst feeling your strong,
Stable centre and your foundation.
With your roots in the earth,
With your foundation established,
Feeling your strength and also your graceful beauty and your special gifts,
Remind yourself that you are as strong and supple as the tree,
That your natural self has foundation,
Is grounded and completely balanced,
That your natural self has strength and flexibility,
Whatever comes your way.
And for the next few moments,
A sense of yourself reclaiming,
Standing in your foundation and your strength and feeling your gifts,
Your light,
Your lightness of being.
Remembering the tree and that just like the tree,
You can always stand in your strength.
Thank you.
You you you you you And gradually gradually prepare to transition Giving yourself plenty of time and leisure Keeping that sense of connection to your roots and the strength and flexibility of the tree established inside of you you Offer yourself some delicious stretches with those branches of yours arms head neck shoulders and Stretch into your full presence And then taking some clear breaths Open your eyes and welcome yourself back into life You you
