Good morning and welcome to this guided meditation where we will work on an intention setting process to help you have a more purposeful,
Powerful and joy-filled day.
So go ahead and settle into your chosen meditation posture.
You can either be sat cross-legged or laying down on your back.
Check that your spine is aligned.
Relax your jaw.
And soften your shoulders.
And if you could be 10% more comfortable than you are now,
What would you need to do?
Make those adjustments now and become even more at ease in your posture.
And if it feels good for you,
Close your eyes.
Inhale deeply and draw the breath all the way into your belly.
Then exhale every last drop of breath out of your body.
And again,
Take the deepest breath that you've taken all week.
Pause at the top,
Hold the breath.
Then exhale completely.
Let everything go.
Start to become aware of being aware.
Pay more attention to how it feels to be you right now.
How do you really feel?
What emotions are present?
And are there any emotions that you're trying to stuff down or run away from?
Be gentle and kind with yourself,
But also honest,
And know that it's safe to feel all of your emotions right now.
Then I invite you to think of one word that describes something that you'd like to experience more of in your day today.
Something you want to embody as you move throughout your day.
Maybe something that's been missing in your life lately.
It could be peace,
Calm,
Joy,
Balance,
Love or happiness,
Or any other word that comes to mind.
Take a moment to tune into your heart and choose that word right now.
Really good.
Now imagine that you already embody that word and all the feelings and emotions that come with it.
What does that change?
What difference does it make as you move throughout your day?
How do you communicate?
What do you do differently?
And how do you feel?
Take a moment to see and feel yourself as you move through your day,
Embodying this word.
Now let's use your intention in a breathing exercise.
As you breathe in,
Mentally repeat to yourself,
I am.
Then as you breathe out,
Mentally repeat your chosen word.
Breathe in,
I am.
Breathe out,
Your word.
Repeat this for a few moments,
Adding more emphasis and feeling each time you say your word,
Like you're calling it into your day.
And gently release your word and your meditation.
Bring a little bit of movement back to your body.
And if it feels good for you,
Bring a gentle smile to your face,
Knowing that what you've asked for is on its way.
And whenever you're ready,
Blink open your eyes.
