Transcript
Welcome to this yoga nidra for deep inner connection.
Take a moment before we get started to make yourself completely comfortable laying yourself down in whatever way you like using as many or as little props as you want and whenever you feel ready slowly allowing your eyes to gently close and feel how that often already really helps us to guide awareness more inwards.
Can you notice the points of contact between the whole back of your body and the surface that you're laying on?
Feeling really that holding that embrace of that stable surface beneath you and I'm feeling into your breath for a moment noticing its flow just allowing your awareness to really ride that whole wave of your breath curious with every breath as you feel your body settling deeper and deeper into this place of feeling fully welcomed body welcomed exactly as it is but can you feel just a little bit more softening happening around the eyelids and noticing your eyes sinking a little bit deeper into their eye sockets letting go fully of your sense of external sight and while your external side is gently closed down your internal vision is still fully opened all your other senses are still fully opened and as you still breathe can you maybe connect to your sense of smell is there something that you can smell within this room?
Maybe it's just a very faint smell maybe it's just one thing you pick up and as you move awareness towards your mouth the inside of your mouth what can you taste?
Feeling the element of water within your mouth as you notice what's here to taste and maybe it isn't something that has a particular name or you're just connecting to your sense of taste and spreading awareness a little bit wider so from the mouth can you feel into your whole skin that covers your body and noticing first all the places of the skin that are covered by your clothes or maybe a blanket noticing that gentle touch even felt without moving and can you also notice all the places of your skin that are uncovered and feeling how the air very gently touches your skin can you feel again how the earth touches your skin as your whole back of the body just rests down into that that loving touch that is created by the gentle force of gravity pulling the body down senses are opened not just to what's happening outside of you but to all the subtleties that are happening inside of you sensing within as you welcome all that's here all sensations big or small welcoming the waves of all emotions big or small lovingly holding all of that into your experience without trying to change or manipulate anything without trying to fix without trying to presume anything or make anything smaller inviting it all and like that can you also invite your sense of hearing hearing both externally the words that i'm sharing but also listening within welcoming all your thoughts there's no need to think that this practice is meant to make all your thoughts go away silence the mind welcoming the mind exactly as it is as it is we don't need to change the thoughts but sometimes we can just have the feeling as if we're leaning back behind all the thoughts and analysis passing by notice what that feels like as if your awareness drops below all the thoughts that are here we're listening in but we don't have to be taken along feel yourself drop into that quiet beneath the surface where all of you is welcome your subtle inner senses are opened and with that very subtle sensing can you bring your awareness into the right thumb the index finger middle finger ring finger a little finger tips of the right fingers palm of the hand back of the hand wrist forearm elbow upper arm right shoulder armpit right side of the ribs the right hip heel sole of the right foot and top of the foot right big toe second toe third toe fourth toe and little toe tips of all the right toes whole right side of the body at once left thumb index finger middle finger ring finger little finger tips of the fingers palm of the left hand back of the hand wrist forearm elbow upper arm shoulder armpit left side of the ribs left hip thigh knee lower leg ankle sole of the foot top of the foot left big toe second toe third toe fourth toe and little toe tips of all the left toes whole left side of the body at once flow attention into the space of the heart into the whole right arm and into the whole left arm back into the space of the heart the space between the collarbones the throat tip of the chin the lips the teeth inside of the right cheek and inside of the left cheek tip of the tongue at the base of the tongue back to the lips tip of the nose space between the eyebrows both eyes and both ears back to the space between the eyebrows the whole forehead the crown of the head the back of the head the back of the head and the space between the eyebrows and all the space between those two points feeling the line between the back of head and the space between the eyebrows back of the head back of the neck both shoulder blades and the point between both shoulder blades the whole spine backs of the hips the whole left leg and the whole right leg attention into both hands and into both feet awareness into the crown of head both hands and both feet and awareness into the whole body at once can you bring awareness into all those points that we brought our attention to within the body all those little points we touched and sensing the connection between all those places in the body it's like a loving web connecting all these different points a web of connection that really is inside your whole body all of these places within your body can you connect it feeling how all these parts connected breathe as one feeling how the whole body breathes feeling all the individual cells of your body breathe one connected breath feeling how the whole body expands with every inhale and gently contracts with each exhale the whole body becoming lighter with each inhale and heavier each time you exhale feeling the whole body resting feeling the openness of the body and can you locate within the body the place that feels most warm what part of the body feels warmest in this moment becoming really aware of that usually it's a part of our body that's covered and becoming very attuned to that place of warmth and becoming more aware of a place within the body that feels really cool what is the part in the body that feels coolest could be the tip of the nose just feeling in what part it is for you feeling that sense of coolness and can you feel both that warmest and coolest place within the body at the same time letting them coexist letting these experiences connect and then letting your breath dissolve that feeling the whole body as one again sinking down into its place of rest and with each count you'll feel your whole body,
Your whole system drop into a deeper state of relaxation drop into a deeper layer of your consciousness five four three two feel yourself sink into this deepest state of rest this healing place feeling this deep connection that's here as you open up to deeper layers of listening listening to the most subtle whispers of your being sensing this feeling of coming home to the body as you feel into this gentle stillness within and also the gentle stillness around the body merging into that quiet allowing yourself to float into that stillness as you let your awareness be open as you feel the loving connection with all that's alive within you deeply connected to your deepest self connected to your body,
Your breath connected to all that's alive in this present moment and allow yourself to feel that connection to the space of your heart now allow yourself to soften into the space of your heart and while feeling the connection to that loving place asking yourself if you could give yourself one thing right now,
What would that be?
Maybe that's a feeling state,
A quality of being maybe it's something very practical maybe it's a feeling of being in a place that you've never been to before listening in and then feeling back into your whole body again feeling the whole outline of your body resting down feeling the weight of your body onto the ground beneath you and feeling into your breath again allowing that to deepen just slightly as you hear the sound of your own breath also becoming more aware of the sounds within the space that you're laying in maybe the sounds of your own breath outside of the space you're in perhaps gently bringing a little bit of movement back in your fingers and toes giving yourself a nice long stretch out overhead whenever you feel ready but there is no rush and eventually rolling yourself over to either side of your body and as you take a moment here to just acknowledge any shifts that you might feel comparing how you started this practice and what you feel like in this moment and just thanking your practice for whatever that shift might be whether very subtle or maybe felt quite easily thanking both your practice and yourself for showing up and as this yoga nidra comes to an end slowly rising yourself up into a seated position and preparing yourself to move into the remainder of your day I hope you have a lovely day and thank you so much you

Loved the soothing voice and taking the time in the beginning to deepen the consciousness of the body☀️personally I like starting yoga nidra with an intention setting, and even if not guided I had enough time to fit it in. Thank you for this wonderful practice! 🙏✨
