It can feel so hard to look after ourselves when we're grieving and so hard to offer ourselves love.
But for everything you've endured you deserve kindness.
What might it mean to offer kindness to yourself in your grief?
What is kindness when we're grieving?
Kindness is listening to your body and its wisdom.
Kindness is accepting what your body is trying to tell you.
Kindness is believing your nervous system can heal after shock,
Trauma and repressing so much emotion.
Kindness is lovingly massaging your skin.
Kindness is surrendering rather than fighting.
Kindness is softening into yourself and not bracing.
Kindness is moving your body in whatever way it needs today.
Kindness is truly resting,
Stopping.
Kindness is acknowledging this is me and this is my struggle.
Kindness is telling yourself I am loved,
I am healthy,
I am at ease even if you don't believe it yet.
Kindness is accepting that you won't be fixed but you are still whole.
