This breathing technique is brilliant for helping you get out of your head and into your body.
The focus on the movement of your breathing helps you become calmer.
Find a comfy place to sit or lie down and place your hands on either side of your belly,
Just below your ribs.
Take a breath in through your nose and then make a sigh out of your mouth like this.
Do that a few more times,
Breathing in through your nose and then sighing out of your mouth.
Now begin to breathe in and out just through your nose.
Feel your belly inflate like a balloon as you breathe in and deflate as you breathe out.
Notice your hands rising and falling with your breath.
And don't make too much effort here,
Let your breath come and go naturally.
As you continue to breathe,
Feel your belly inflate like a balloon as you breathe in and as you breathe out feeling your belly soften and relax like a balloon deflating.
And see if you can slow down your breathing a little and allow the balloon to deflate even more slowly.
Feel the sensation of your hands rising and falling with your breath.
And you can do this for as long as you like or for around 10 rounds of breath.
And do that now at your own pace.
As you come to the end of your rounds of breath now,
Notice how you feel.
Remember,
You always have your breath with you and you can always come back to it whatever else you're experiencing.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
