Welcome to today's mantra meditation.

Take a moment to set yourself up,

Either sitting up or lying flat.

Having a space that you can feel comfortable,

That you can feel safe and that you can feel ready to receive in.

And as you fall into that space of comfort and ease,

You can gently close your eyes down.

And as we close the eyes down,

We cut off from our main sensory distraction.

So we're committing to this time of self-inquiry.

And so now let us fall into complete presence by simply noticing the breath coming into the body and noticing the breath flowing out of the body.

Not trying to force or change the breath in any way,

Just noticing its natural pace.

And gradually this breath just allows the body to relax into the space.

So with each exhalation encouraging the body to soften a little more.

Facial muscles soften.

Shoulders relax.

Belly soft.

Hips heavy.

Sid bones anchored.

Feet relaxed.

And now it's just you and your breath following the breath in and following the breath out.

And today's mantra is Soham.

And the translation of Soham is I am that.

Meaning that we acknowledge our connection to the universe.

Knowing that we are one of the same.

Soham.

So start to acknowledge the pattern of your breath.

Notice that moment of inhalation.

And the direct moment of exhalation.

And start to match this mantra with the breath.

So starting to say silently in your mind as you breathe in So.

And as you breathe out Hum.

And this becomes the focus.

Breathing in So.

Breathing out Hum.

Each time the mind trails off which it will.

Just gently bring it back to the breath in So.

And the breath out Hum.

And even though we're saying this in the mind the body is receiving this mantra.

And the body is acknowledging its relevance.

I am that.

Soham.

Keep bringing your mind back to the mantra.

The mantra is your focus and every other worry,

Decision,

Memory falls away as you chant.

Soham.

I am that.

And if the mind can't quite receive this mantra feel free to say it out loud.

Breathing in So.

Breathing out Hum.

Soham.

I am that.

Keep coming back.

Breathing in So.

Exhaling Hum.

Allowing the mind to feel engulfed by this mantra.

Acknowledging that there really is no separation between us and the universe.

We are one of the same.

Enjoy this for a few more moments.

Ca 달ав۔ Slowly allowing the mantra to fall away and just coming back to the breath.

And eventually coming back to the body.

And you might want to stay there longer,

In which case stay longer.

Otherwise start to come back to the space by gently opening the eyes.

So ham namaste.

A beautiful meditation. Very timely for me, as I really had trouble feeling my connection to the web of light and life recently due to recent traumas. I didn't actually get to the "I am" place I hoped to, but that is entirely because of what I'm going through at the moment. This was still a very powerful reminder that such a state exists and I will get back to it at some point. Many thanks.
