Good morning.
Hope you had the best night's sleep.
I'm excited to be here with you as you wake up and welcome a new day and I'm looking forward to bringing more energy and exuberance to the rest of your day.
So let's begin.
Find yourself seated comfortably with your back upright and gently close your eyes.
Notice how you feel this morning,
What emotional state you may be in,
How your body feels,
And where the emotions lie.
Whatever it is you're feeling is perfectly fine.
Just be aware of it and observe it from a place of curiosity.
Now begin by focusing on your right shoulder and slowly begin to rotate your right shoulder in circles,
Nice slow rotations.
And as you're doing so,
Pay attention to how it feels,
To the muscles at play.
Just focus on each movement as your right shoulder rotates in circles.
And as you're doing this,
Make sure that the rest of your body is fully relaxed.
So the only muscles that now are working are those of your right shoulder.
As you rotate it in circles,
The rest of your body is fully relaxed.
You may now relax your right shoulder and switch to your left shoulder and again,
Rotate your left shoulder in slow circles.
Notice each muscle at play and notice how it feels.
And as you do so,
Simultaneously,
Make sure that the rest of your body is fully relaxed.
You may now relax your left shoulder,
Relax your whole body.
And let's focus now on the breath.
Focus on the sensations of the air as you breathe it in through your nose and out through your nose.
Notice the texture,
The sound that each breath makes.
Where do you breathe the air into or part of your body?
Breathe it into your belly or your chest or maybe in between.
Focus now on the movements of your body as it responds to your breath.
And if you start having thoughts,
That's okay.
It's perfectly normal,
Especially in the morning.
Just take note of the thought.
Notice it.
Watch it from a distance and then label the thought and gently let it float away and go back to your breath.
Just feeling and experiencing the breath in whichever way resonates most with you.
Now let's take a deep breath in through the nose as deep as you can.
Slowly exhale,
Relax your body even further as you breathe out.
And when you're fully exhaled,
I'd like you to ask yourself the following questions.
What am I looking forward to for the day?
What is it that you're excited for?
It could be anything.
Notice how you feel.
Next up,
Ask yourself,
What am I going to do for myself today to make it better?
Are you going to spoil yourself?
Perhaps an activity or even a meal?
Something that you may enjoy eating.
What are you going to do for yourself today to make it better?
Notice how you feel when you invite this thought into your mind.
Next up,
What can I do today to make someone else's day better?
It could be the simplest thing,
Like smiling at a stranger or giving your spare change to someone homeless or complimenting a colleague or even helping them out if they need anything.
What are you going to do today to make someone else's day better?
This is a simple pleasure I get to experience this morning.
And what pleasures are you going to welcome into your morning?
The warmth of the sun,
The smell of coffee,
The sun rising or some music that you may enjoy.
Have a think about that for a few moments.
Notice how it makes you feel as you welcome it into your heart.
And I'd like you to imagine what you are like when you're at your best.
This version of you that is unstoppable.
We've all been there,
We've all experienced it.
And how do you talk fast or slow?
How do you walk?
Let's invite those qualities now to the present moment.
What does it feel like to exude these qualities?
And how do you feel when you are at your best?
Let's take a deep breath in through the nose,
As deep as you can.
Slowly exhale,
Relax your body as you breathe out.
Now let's repeat the following affirmations to kickstart our morning.
And repeat it with intention like you mean it.
I am grateful for life.
I deserve love and success.
I am ready for today.
Notice how you feel,
Notice your body,
Emotions.
See if you can relax your muscles one more time.
I'm going to do three cycles of a breathing exercise to help you feel more energized and alert for today.
So we're going to inhale for seven seconds.
Let's do this.
One,
Two,
Three,
Six,
Seven.
Hold and exhale as fast as you can.
Ah,
Let it all out as fast as you can from your mouth.
Good.
And again,
Inhale for seven seconds.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven.
Hold and exhale as fast as you can.
And one more time.
One,
Two,
Five,
Six,
Seven.
Hold and exhale as fast as you can.
Ah,
Good.
And when you're ready,
You may open your eyes and welcome back your physical surroundings.
And as you do,
I'd like you to say the following with enthusiasm and energy.
I've got this.
Go ahead.
You can say it.
You can smile.
I've got this with confidence because you do.
Today is yours for the taking and you can have an amazing day.
From my heart to yours,
Much love.
