Welcome to this quick gratitude affirmation meditation which will allow you to reflect on some of the many and sometimes overlooked things we can be grateful for.
Practicing gratitude regularly has been proven to enhance happiness,
Reduce stress and anxiety and improve your relationships in life.
It's never too late to start so let's begin.
Find yourself seated comfortably with your back upright.
I'd like you to begin by just taking a deep breath in through your nose.
Slowly exhale.
Exhale away all the tension and as you breathe out gently close your eyes and then when you fully exhale just take note of your body.
Notice how you feel and then observe your breath.
Pay attention to where the breath is felt most distinctly.
Where is it coming from?
The tip of your nose,
Your belly,
Your chest or somewhere else.
Now that you've done that let's begin with our first affirmation and I want you to repeat each affirmation like you truly mean it.
So when you say it you have to truly mean it.
I am grateful for being alive.
I am thankful for having access to food.
I appreciate the challenges life throws at me.
I'm thankful for my immune system which works tirelessly to keep me in good health.
I'm grateful for clean water.
I am grateful for good hair days.
I'm thankful for my home which provides me with shelter and safety.
I appreciate everything I have learnt in life.
I'm grateful for cat videos.
I'm grateful for having a sense of humor.
I'm thankful for nature and the beauty it comes with.
I'm grateful for technology for it allows us to access information and stay in touch with friends from across the world.
I'm grateful for hot showers.
I'm grateful for the person I've become over the years.
Again take a deep breath in through your nose.
Slowly exhale.
When you're fully exhaled you may gently open your eyes and welcome back your physical surroundings and I am grateful for you.
May you have a very successful and fulfilling day.
Namaste.
