This is your chance to reflect on your past 12 months. The good, the bad, the ugly... and the useful! Whatever it is that you experienced, regardless of how you perceive its impact, happened for a reason, and if approached with reflection and insight, can be a good source of self growth and wisdom. Take these next few minutes to reflect on your year, acknowledge what it is you're grateful for, and recognise what version of yourself you'd like to bring into the new year. You've got this! You really do :)

Hey there friend,

As the year winds down I'd like to invite you to pause with me and take a breath and reflect on the past year.

I'm sure it's been an immensely eventful year for you,

Good or bad,

I'm sure you've dealt with a lot,

I'm sure you've experienced growth or even what may seem like setbacks,

But ultimately these are all opportunities to grow and I'd like for us to acknowledge this journey with all its lessons,

With all its challenges,

With all the growth.

So join me now as we explore the moments that shaped you and as we reconnect with the good and give that thanks for what you are carrying forward.

This is your space to reflect and welcome the next chapter with clarity and peace.

So find yourself seated comfortably and close your eyes and gently relax.

Let's take a deep breath in through the nose as deep as you can and slowly breathe out,

Letting out some of that tension that may be slightly holding you back.

And again take another deep breath in and slowly breathe out some of that heaviness that you may be carrying on your shoulders.

As we begin to reflect,

Notice how your body feels and ask yourself the following question,

What challenged you this year?

And follow up with,

What did it teach you?

I'll give you a few moments to reflect on that.

And how can you recall a moment throughout the year when you felt proud of yourself?

Could be big,

It could be very small,

But just a moment you just felt proud of you.

Was there a relationship that grew stronger throughout the year?

Or was there one that you had to let go of but taught you a lot?

Can you reflect on that?

When did you feel most at peace this year?

Was it a holiday?

Was it a moment to yourself?

What exactly was that moment or period which you experienced the most peace?

I'll remind you that it's important to reflect without judgment.

It's okay,

This is your journey,

Your unique individual journey.

Now let's take another deep breath in through the nose as deep as you can.

Slowly release more of that heaviness,

Breathe it out.

Relax a little further.

Let's move on now to gratitude,

What are you grateful for?

Or something that may have happened this year that you're grateful for,

Even if it didn't look like a gift at the time,

What is it that you're grateful for?

What are three small things that you are thankful for right now in this moment?

Take a moment to reflect on that and try not to overthink it.

Three things can be something super small,

Something that pops straight to your mind that is obvious,

But just three small things.

Notice how you feel.

And lastly,

What is something about yourself that you are proud to bring into the new year with you?

It could be a reformed version of you or something that you may have acquired throughout the year.

Or it could just be something that you're looking forward to.

A few moments to think about that.

Something about yourself that you're proud to bring into the new year.

Now let's take a deep breath in through the nose.

And breathe out the last year,

Let it out.

It's time to now welcome a new chapter.

A new journey that'll shape you in a different way.

And what you have used from the past year to grow,

You'll take with you.

The last year has served a purpose.

It has helped shape you.

You take the good,

You learn from the bad,

And then you let go of the bad.

So let's take a deep breath in.

And as you breathe out,

Just let go.

Let go.

Trusting the next 12 months are going to be fabulous.

And I want to thank you for finding the time to do this meditation with me.

I want to send you lots of love and a successful,

Prosperous,

And meaningful 12 months.

From my heart to yours,

Much love.

Thanks for the very insightful questions Alex. It certainly got me thinking! One I shall revisit again before the end of the year, and it will be a great cleansing way to start the new year.
