Welcome friend and thank you so much for joining me.
Today we're going to dive into a powerful ancient breathwork technique and something that goes beyond just breathing.
This technique is known for grounding your mind,
Your body and your spirit.
It'll help sharpen your focus and strengthen your mindset and it'll also help you feel more calm and relaxed internally and despite whatever you may be going through.
So if you're looking to build a stronger,
More centered version of yourself,
This session is for you.
So settle in and let's dive in.
Find yourself seated upright in a comfortable space.
Make sure your hands are comfortably by their sides and just notice for now how you feel in this moment.
Notice the energy that is flowing through your body.
If there's any muscles that may feel tensed,
Feel free to relax those muscles.
Make sure your body is soft and relaxed.
Now take note of your breath.
How does your breath feel in your body and where do you feel it most distinctly?
Just observe the breath in whichever way resonates with you.
The concept of paradoxical breathing involves inhaling as deep as we can while we're visualizing an exhale and then when we exhale we visualize an inhale.
Now this may be a little challenging and it may require a mental shift but I really do encourage you to challenge your habitual breathing patterns and try something different from a place of curiosity and growth.
So let's do this now.
Relax your body and take a deep breath in and as you inhale visualize an exhale.
And then when you exhale,
As you exhale,
Visualize an inhale.
And again inhale and mentally let go and exhale and visualize yourself inhaling in your mind.
And again,
Inhale,
Visualize and exhale.
And exhale,
Visualize an inhale.
Inhale,
Visualize and exhale.
And exhale,
Visualize an inhale.
I'm going to let you do this now.
At your own pace.
You can become a little more familiar with this from an independent standpoint and I encourage you to explore the sensations that arise as you do so.
You may feel a certain way and whatever it is,
Even if it's mental resistance or even if it's physical tension,
Just explore it.
It's not bad or good,
It's just different.
So stay open and curious to whatever comes up.
I'll give you a minute.
How does your body feel?
More relaxed?
More focused?
Let's go back now to our natural breath.
Notice the rhythm of your breath.
I'm aware that this breath work exercise can be a little challenging for the first time.
Just like with anything in life,
The more you do it,
The easier it gets and the more you can explore as you do it.
There are so many different ways to do this.
So let's take a moment to reflect on how this practice made you feel.
Are there any shifts in your mental state?
And you can revisit this practice with me whenever you want,
Whenever you need to feel more centered and calm.
And if this really resonated with you,
You can do it daily and keep growing at it.
Thank you so much for doing this for yourself.
From my heart to yours.
Thank you.
