Welcome to this meditation,
Guided sleeping with intention.
Please lie down for this meditation and get comfortable.
Don't worry if you fall asleep at any point,
The subconscious will take it all in.
Sleep accounts for around a third of our existence,
Making it a regular and vitally important part of our lives.
It has immense physical and emotional value it is largely overlooked,
Other than perhaps trying to get 8 hours of sleep in.
When we dream we enter an altered state of consciousness where we can access the subconscious mind.
Subconscious mind keeps a record of all our memories,
Desires and fears.
These are often suppressed by our conscious mind for a number of reasons,
Sometimes out of guilt or shame.
These hidden parts of our personality are free to roam during sleep.
Here these desires,
Fears and memories come out to play in a wild and sometimes even disturbing way.
This can make sleep not so restful and blissful.
We can wake up feeling confused due to the nature of our dreams and we can miss out on a lot of valuable messages and benefits.
During this guided sleep session the individual consciously moulds their sleep in alignment with their aspirations in life.
Our intention for this meditation is to guide ourselves gently into sleep with positive feelings and words which will penetrate the subconscious mind.
Our subconscious,
Although we are largely unaware of it,
Rules more than 95% of our life.
So if we can rewire it in a positive way then this is of a huge benefit to us.
As mentioned at the start,
It doesn't matter if you fall asleep at any point during this meditation.
Focus on your breathing for now as we begin to really relax.
Notice where the lowest point in your body you can feel the breath rising and falling in the body.
This is usually in the lower chest or the belly.
Just simply focus on this rising and falling for a while.
Nothing to do,
Nowhere to be.
Just focusing on the rising and falling of the breath.
If your awareness is drifted,
Just bring it back to the sensation of the breath rising and falling at the lowest point in the body.
Fantastic.
Slow down the breath now.
Imagine each time you breathe in you're inhaling relaxation and each time you exhale imagine you're letting go of any stress or tension.
Really focus on this intention.
Breathing in,
Inhaling relaxation.
Breathing out,
Letting go of any stress or tension in the mind and body.
If your awareness is drifted away,
Just bring it back to the sensation of the breath rising and falling.
Anyway,
Bring it back to the breath.
Inhaling relaxation,
Exhaling any stress or tension in the mind.
Notice how you start to feel lighter during this breathing exercise.
We'll do this a little longer.
Slowly inhaling relaxation and slowly exhaling any stress or tension.
Wonderful.
You can relax your breathing now.
No need to control the pace of the breathing.
We'll start guiding you into sleep.
Let go of the day.
Enjoy the presence of now.
You are safe here.
You are calm.
You are relaxed.
You are free.
Here you can be yourself.
You can explore yourself.
No need to please others here.
No demand from others.
No demand from yourself.
Just peace.
Peace and calm.
Stillness.
Bliss.
As we slowly drift into sleep,
We realize that beyond the limitations we set ourselves,
We can actually create any life we desire within reason.
Life itself is very dreamlike in that our subconscious creates it.
Its limitations,
Its beliefs,
Its fears.
In the peace and tranquility of this moment,
We know we can transcend all of this into something higher.
We don't have to place more so that others don't feel insecure around us.
We don't have to listen to the fears of the lower mind.
I am free.
I am free to live a life of fulfillment.
I desire to live a life of fulfillment.
My soul is not for sale.
My sovereignty is not for sale.
My dreams are not for sale.
I am here to let our own light shine.
I feel no shame in this and I hope it will unconsciously give others the permission to do the same.
I take the action necessary to let my light shine.
I heal my pain.
I willfully improve my state of being.
I eat the food that nourishes my body.
I do the exercise that my body needs.
I want to reach my potential.
I will reach my potential.
I am able to overcome roadblocks which prevent me from being my highest self.
I look forward to the challenges that come my way,
As I am confident I can overcome them.
I embrace challenge as it helps me to grow.
I cannot grow in the safety of my comfort zone.
As I overcome my fears,
My comfort zone grows and so do I.
I embrace change.
Life is always changing.
The atoms in my body are changing and evolving as we speak.
As Herculitus said,
No man ever steps in the same river twice,
For it is not the same river and he is not the same man.
Tomorrow is a new day where I can choose who I want to be.
I am under no obligation to be the same person I was five years or even five minutes ago.
I am fluent with the flowing river of life.
I am loving.
I love nature.
I love my family.
I love my friends.
I am compassionate to others' struggles.
I seek to know myself on a deeper level and help others do the same.
Who am I beneath the layers of social and cultural conditioning?
I am peaceful and calm.
Nothing has the power to uncentre or unground me.
I am calm and look within when problems come my way.
I know difficult moments are temporary.
I know happy moments are temporary.
I remain grounded and calm at all moments.
My reaction is my strength and my power.
I sleep with intention,
The intention to train my mind.
There is no effort here.
I am still at rest.
I am going to have positive dreams tonight.
I look forward to my dreams.
I take the optimism from my dream state into my waking state tomorrow.
I am love.
I am stillness.
I am peace.
I am integrity.
I am light.
I am strength.
