Hey friends,

Thank you so much for clicking on this meditation.

Before we begin,

I'm popping in to say that this audio is from a live session that I hosted on March 13th.

I thought the folks and family here on Insight Timer would appreciate the message.

And so before we begin,

Just letting you know that this is from March 13th,

2022.

Welcome to today's practice.

For those of you who may be new to making space meditation or to my work,

My name is Alex and I really appreciate you being here with me today.

I'm so grateful that we are here together,

Grounding down,

Turning inward,

And taking time to find ease,

Healing,

And rest with one another.

This guided meditation practice will invite you today to bring forth the truth of who you are.

So many of us are on our own unique journey and paths to healing,

As we all know.

And some of us may be feeling kind of stuck today.

Some of us may be feeling light and easeful.

But no matter where this meditation meets you,

Remember that you are enough and worthy exactly where you are.

You being here today and pouring into yourself in this way,

Holding space for intentional meditation and breathing is magnificent.

You are not here by mistake.

This is no small feat.

As we do this collective breath work together,

Remember to hold yourself with compassion,

Grace,

And love.

And that can look like your right hand on your heart,

That can look like your left hand on your belly,

It can look like stretching,

It can look like giving yourself this moment to find ease and stillness and attunement.

In today's practice,

We're going to be focusing on our life being the proof of our healing and our growth.

So often we get caught up in the ways and expectations of the world.

We confuse success,

Growth,

And worth as proof of who we are through our titles,

Our careers,

Societal expectations or accomplishments,

Etc.

But in fact,

The living proof of our success and our growth and our worth is that we made it here today.

We've all walked through so much.

We've all had our fair share of hurt and suffering and sadness and failures.

And yet we are still here.

We are still living and breathing.

That is not a small thing.

That is a big deal.

Your life is the proof that you've made it.

Your life is your legacy.

Feel free to do this meditation while seated if that feels comfortable and supportive.

You can also do this as a moving meditation that can look like making a cup of tea,

Stretching while listening.

Do whatever feels right for you.

Let's begin.

So whether you're in a traditional seated position or trying out a moving meditation,

Welcome yourself to this moment with a long inhale through the nose and deep into the belly and an easeful exhale through the nose.

With your body soft,

Jaw unclenched,

And shoulders dropped,

Lean into this time of presence holding close that your life is the proof of how far you've come.

Inhale deep and through the nose,

Dropping your shoulders,

Softening that brow,

That jaw,

And exhale through the nose easefully.

I don't know what you're walking through today.

You are proof that healing is possible.

You are proof that healing and growing is happening in this present moment.

Take a second to breathe into that.

Inhale deep through the nose,

Filling up your belly like a balloon.

Exhale through the nose,

Emptying your belly.

Drop those shoulders.

You'll hear me say that a lot.

Unclench your jaw.

We are here to be easeful and soft.

Inhale through the nose deeply until you can't anymore.

And exhale slowly through the nose until you can't anymore.

Take a second.

Inhale deep and through the nose,

Fill up,

Hold,

And release when you're ready,

Slowly,

Softly.

Welcome the truth as you breathe that your life matters.

No matter how painful some seasons have been,

No matter how painful this season may be,

Welcome the truth that when you heal yourself,

You are healing the collective.

Welcome the truth that you are living proof of all that is possible.

On each inhale,

On each exhale,

Welcome the truth of your life.

We cannot avoid pain.

We cannot avoid our fear.

We cannot avoid ourselves.

And so,

With that being the truth,

We must sit with it all,

Nurture it all,

Be with it slowly and gently.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth.

Sigh it out.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Sigh it out.

As you heal,

You have the power to create future healing for yourself,

Your lineage,

And those around you.

You have the power to shift how you look at your past and how you hold your pain.

In this present moment,

You have the power to trust that your life,

Your breath,

And your being is glorious.

When is the last time you thought those things?

That your being,

That your breath,

That your life is glorious.

No matter what you're walking through,

No matter where you've been,

Your life is glorious.

Inhale and exhale,

Paying attention to your breath as you listen to my words.

Inhale and exhale.

You as you are,

Where you are,

Is all the proof you need that growth and healing are aligned with you.

Even when you think you're getting it wrong,

You are living proof of everything that's gone right.

You are living proof that everything is going right.

Even with your pain,

Even with your joy,

Lean into that.

Everything we do,

Everything we say is a seed that's planted.

Those seeds can come to fruition.

They can take root in our lives.

As you breathe with me today,

Create the healing that you long for in this present moment.

Lean in to your breath.

Lean into your glory this beautiful Sunday.

Create the healing that you are longing for with each breath,

Each inhale in through the nose,

And each exhale through the nose.

Tap your shoulders.

Unclench your jaw and soften in this moment.

Learn to rest without resisting the urge to slow down.

It's okay.

Be easy with yourself.

Be easeful in this moment.

Inhale deep through the nose,

And exhale.

Keep intentionally breathing,

Get comfortable,

Drop those shoulders.

Forgetting or refusing to acknowledge how worthy you are will keep you stuck in cycles that halt your healing.

Through our healing,

We heal the world.

Through our healing,

We heal our lineage.

Through our healing,

We are the proof.

Our healing is the light others will bear witness to and follow.

So for this next question,

I'd like you to hold it close as you breathe in and breathe out.

How will you ignite the path?

How will you ignite the path?

Don't allow fear of what needs to be shed and released keep you from healing.

In order to heal,

We must let go.

Hand on your heart if you're able to.

Feeling the life force.

Feeling the rhythm of your breath and your heartbeat.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth,

Soften your shoulders,

Drop them and sigh it out.

Inhale through the nose as you bear witness to your pain.

And exhale through the mouth,

Sigh it out.

Inhale through the nose as you bear witness to your joy.

And exhale through the mouth,

Sigh it out.

Inhale through your nose as you bear witness to yourself.

Exhale through the mouth,

Sigh it out.

Again,

Inhale deeply through the nose,

Filling your belly.

Exhale through the nose,

Emptying your belly.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth,

Sigh it out,

Release.

Inhale deeply through the nose,

Filling up your belly.

And when you are ready,

Exhale through the nose,

Emptying your belly.

Inhale deeply through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth,

Sigh it out,

Let it go.

As we bring our meditation to a close,

In your mind,

I'd like you to repeat after me.

Dear self,

I see you.

Dear self,

I am learning.

Dear self,

I am with you.

Dear self,

You are the proof.

You are the light.

Let's take one final deep breath in together through the nose as a collective inhale.

Drop your shoulders,

Friends.

Unclench your jaw and soften.

Exhale,

Sigh it out.

Inhale for good measure.

Exhale,

Sigh it out.
