Hello,
My name is Alegarnica and I want to start by warning you that this is a raw,
Messy and imperfect talk.
It's based on a newsletter I sent this week which actually came from journaling.
This weekend I was journaling on a specific question and I said I might as well share these thoughts,
They might change someone's perspective,
They might help someone see things differently and here I am now recording this and share it with you.
The question is why more people should get out in nature instead of consuming more self-help.
This question is so close to my heart because first I love nature,
Second I believe in the healing power nature has,
I have experienced it myself.
Many years ago when I was recovering from a major surgery I was laying down on bed for weeks.
I could barely move,
I was very weak and emotionally I was in a very dark place and I remember laying down on bed and through the window of the bedroom I would see a lot of trees standing strong and tall and while I was looking at them I would think they are so perfect.
I would see their light,
Their color,
Their movement,
Their leaves were dancing with the wind.
They were a reminder for me about surrendering and going with the flow of life without creating any resistance.
That's when I learned that when I allowed myself to be guided by life everything was going to be okay.
Those trees gave me hope,
Those trees gave me strength,
Those trees gave me a precious lesson that I still remember and treasure.
Now I'm going to share the thoughts that I wrote down in my journaling exercise,
Why more people should get out into nature instead of consuming more self-help.
Nature is refreshing,
It's a reminder of how to be present without judgment.
Trees show their grandness without ever thinking am I being too much?
Am I taking up too much space?
Am I bothering other trees?
Nature's quietness and stillness are an invitation to look within.
It reminds us that everything is meant to be.
The snake eating the lizard,
The hawk stealing eggs from a bird's nest is the fight for survival and it is completely accepted.
Nature is constantly telling us I am here for you,
Not at your mercy but here to offer full acceptance and unconditional love.
Nature is open to give and open to receive.
Nature is wise,
It holds so many secrets about how to be happy and how to let go.
In nature there is no comparison.
A bush never compares itself to a tree.
It simply gives its all.
It gives what it's here to give.
Nature is abundant,
It reminds us that there is plenty for everyone to survive.
There are no worries,
No concerns,
No stress,
Just being.
It reminds us that everything is a cycle with a beginning and an end.
It shows that there is beauty in everything,
From the colors of a bird to the paw of a bear.
It teaches us that resilience makes you stronger,
More beautiful and freer.
It is a representation of divinity and at the same time it mirrors our own.
We are nature.
We are divinity.
Nature is a song our soul recognizes.
It brightens our eyes with color,
Wraps our skin in softness,
Offers sweetness that flirts with the tongue and fills the air with scents that bring peace to the heart.
Through its resilience,
Its forgiveness,
Its love and its beauty,
Nature is our biggest teacher.
Thank you,
Nature.
I invite you to think about what is the thing that you find in nature or what does nature give you whenever you are immersed in it.
Keep that in mind and remind yourself of it next time you feel overwhelmed,
You feel like life is too much,
Or next time you just need to take a break.
Nature is there waiting for you and is constantly telling us,
Hey I'm here,
This is me and this is you.
Treasure nature,
Love nature,
Treasure yourself and love yourself.
Thank you for listening.
