This recording begins with a breathing technique called Belly Breathing that has been studied for its ability to relax the nervous system and ease feelings of anxiety. Then, we move through a list of positive affirmations known for supporting feelings of anxiety. Each one is repeated three times. Positive affirmations have the power to help you shift from negative thoughts and rumination, to positive, empowering thoughts. They remind you of your strength, hope, and resilience. Repeating them often reinforces a positive and resilient mindset. Music by Chris Collins Image by Carolina Roepers

Hi,

My name is Asa.

Welcome to this Positive Affirmations for Anxiety Relief.

We'll begin with a breathing technique called belly breathing.

It's been studied for its ability to relax the nervous system and ease feelings of anxiety.

Rest one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly.

And wherever you're at right now,

Go ahead and exhale.

Slowly,

Breathe in through your nose and all the way down to your belly.

Breathe out through your mouth as if you were blowing out through a straw and gently contract your stomach muscles as you exhale.

Inhale again,

Drawing the breath all the way down to your belly.

Exhale through pursed lips,

Slowly and smoothly,

And contracting your abdominal muscles until all of the breath is released.

Continue breathing in this way at your own pace for a little while longer.

When you're ready,

You can release the technique and allow your body to breathe naturally.

Float your hands down to your lap or bring both of them to rest over your heart center,

Sending yourself extra love as you listen to these positive affirmations.

Each affirmation will be repeated three times.

You can simply listen to the affirmations or repeat them after me,

Out loud or in your mind.
