A one-minute mindfulness meditation involves taking a brief pause from daily activities to focus on the present moment. Begin by sitting comfortably, closing your eyes, and taking a few deep breaths. Then, bring your attention to the sensations of your breath, gently guiding your mind back to the present moment whenever it wanders. Music from Otjánbird Pt. Transcript

Welcome to this one-minute meditation.

Find a comfortable seated position with your feet planted firmly on the ground and your hands resting in your lap.

Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely.

Hold for a moment and then exhale slowly through your mouth.

As you breathe,

Allow your mind to settle and your body to relax.

Let go of any thoughts or worries that you may have in your mind.

Focus your attention on your breath.

As you inhale,

Feel the air filling your lungs.

As you exhale,

Feel the tension leaving your body.

Stay with your breath for a few more moments,

Letting it be your anchor to the present.

If you feel your mind wanders,

Simply bring back your focus to your breath.

Now take one more deep breath in and as you exhale,

Slowly open your eyes.

Take this sense of calm and relaxation with you as you continue your day.

I found this quick meditation is going to be a useful one to use throughout the day that I can use as a check in. I have Autism and need to build up that connective relationship with my body, mind and emotions, discovering where they are at throughout my day. This 1 minute meditation will support me in continuing to build that internal relationship with myself and help to keep me emotionally regulated. A really effective, simple meditation you can do anywhere at anytime.
