Namaste my friends.

Welcome.

Please get comfortable either sitting or lying down comfortably with your spine straight,

Tucking the chin,

Closing the eyes,

Relaxing and arriving here.

Begin to notice your breath,

The feelings in your body,

Any sounds in your environment.

Relax the muscles behind the eyes,

Relax the shoulders down.

Begin to exhale slower,

Longer,

Feeling yourself settle as if the floor is rising up to meet you or wherever you're sitting or lying is coming up to meet you.

And right now,

I invite you to just sit here or lay here and feel absolutely supported and know that you've taken this time for yourself and that nobody needs you right now and nothing needs to be done.

Your to-do list can wait.

In fact,

It's probably better off that you take some time for yourself.

You're better for it.

You go back into the world more energized with more clarity and it's available to you at any moment.

We can stop,

Take a moment,

Sit down and go inward in the morning,

In the evening,

In whatever practice that suits us,

But it's especially important to find a practice or a habit or some kind of self-support for the middle of the day,

The chaos,

When we feel triggered,

When we feel unsteady.

There's so many things in the world that can be unsettling,

So to counter it and to honor the duality of the universe,

Settle here now.

Balance it.

Settle in your posture,

In your body,

And in your breath,

Extending your exhales.

Take little moments to pause between each inhale and exhale,

Maybe extending that pause a little more each time and feeling the body melt in the stillness.

You are supported and you're doing a good thing by coming here,

Being with yourself and taking a moment to breathe.

Now,

If there's any emotions or sensations in the body that you feel,

Gently observe them.

Breathe into whatever emotion you identify.

Send breath to the sensations in your body.

Try not to judge it or try to fix it or fidget around it as much as melt and settle and let it settle with you.

Let it be there with you,

Just existing,

Neutral,

Not trying to fix or force anything,

Staying settled,

Staying rested,

And giving ourselves this time to fully unwind.

As you continue breathing,

I encourage you to give yourself permission to fully relax,

Even saying to yourself,

I am safe to relax.

I am safe to relax here and now.

Tell your body it is safe to relax.

Let yourself experience any yawning or sighing that may come up.

There's no reason to rush or to force.

Everyone and everything can wait a little bit just for you to come back into your best self,

Your most rested self,

Feeling your feet on the floor,

Yourself in your seat,

Your breath in your body,

Present again.

This is how we can show up in the world,

Aligned.

I invite you to lift the corners of your mouth into a smile and just breathe normally again.

Give yourself some gratitude and some celebration for taking this time for yourself and for continuously building this habit by showing up continuously with meditation or any self-care practices that help you reconnect to yourself and how amazing you really are.

If you haven't heard it today,

You're amazing.

You're doing great,

Far better than you think,

And you deserve to rest more often than you probably do.

Remember,

You're a human being,

Not a human doing.

Thank you for taking this time with me,

My friends.

Namaste.

I find this meditation so effective in releasing pent up emotions when I have a busy day. It’s so effective in guiding me to release them. I now feel relaxed and more tuned in to me. I love when you say I am a human being not a human doing.
