Namaste my friends,
Welcome.
Please have a seat or lie down,
Whatever is more comfortable for you.
Close your eyes and start to breathe.
We're dropping in right away.
Notice how your breath moves on its own.
Take inventory of your body,
How it feels,
And where you're at.
Slowly start to deepen your breath,
Extending your exhales,
Pausing between,
Just breathing and settling in.
As you slow down,
Feeling your body,
Extending your breath,
I want you to think about surrender and what that would look like in your body,
As I encourage you to embody whatever it means to you in this short meditation.
You're safe to surrender here,
To be held by the space around you,
To be held by the present moment.
Do you see how breathing here,
The present moment,
Demands nothing of you?
And in a world that encourages you to push,
Be more productive,
And do things faster,
It actually feels better to slow down.
It feels good to breathe.
So continue to breathe,
Just being here,
Resting your body,
Your nervous system,
Your head,
Your heart,
All in unison,
Laying everything down.
You have enough time for everything.
You're exactly where you're supposed to be.
Everything is always going to work out.
And it's okay to fully stop,
To put everything down.
It seems counterintuitive that when we feel that we don't have time,
That we actually need to stop the most.
When we feel the most demanded and overwhelmed is when we need to come to full stop,
To sit down,
Lay everything down,
Surrender,
And breathe.
In this place,
We kind of come back to ourselves,
And there's a small reminder available to us in presence that we deserve to be here,
And we deserve to be supported.
So how can you breathe,
Relax,
And as you move back into your day,
Maybe do the bare minimum,
And do it as slowly as you can.
Consciously liberate yourself from the systems of go,
Go,
Go,
By feeling your feet on the floor,
Setting boundaries with yourself,
With the parts of you that tell you you need to push.
Do you need to push?
You deserve to feel supported.
You deserve to have life support you.
And just like it's counterintuitive to slow down when we feel rushed,
It can be counterintuitive to trust that life can support us when we see the reality in front of us that doesn't look or feel that way.
But what if we begin to welcome in miracles?
What difference does it make?
We might as well plant a seed.
We might as well lean into hope,
Trust,
And surrender.
We're here anyway.
Whether or not we do,
We can always slow down and simply ask for a different experience,
A higher timeline,
More space to breathe.
The reality is,
No matter what's happening,
There's always a minute or two to breathe.
And when we come back to our breath and our presence and feeling our feet on the floor,
It's not so easy to get caught in the rat race and the running around and the to-do's.
It might even become a dance or a ritual if we do it with enough presence and gratitude.
And this is the goal.
Every time we feel rushed or pressured to slow down,
Come back into us,
Our magic,
As humans on this planet.
Engage with life through dance and song.
Do things that serve us and feel aligned with us as much as we can.
There's no wrong way to do this.
It gets easier with breath,
With returning to ourselves,
Trusting the process,
And it's a practice.
So feel free to come back here every day to be reminded that,
Yes,
You can surrender and you can breathe.
Everything will always be okay.
Namaste,
My friends.
