It's easy to get caught in the past... the future... the stressful moments in the day. So let this be a moment for you to pause, come home to yourself. Regain that sense of calm and ease. This offering is for you, you deserve it. The anchor for this practice is your radial pulse point. Time is given at the start for you to locate your radial pulse. This anchor is merely guidance, not gospel. You're welcome to rest your attention on another anchor if this offering doesn't suit.

Before we get started,

Take a moment to locate your radial pulse point on the inside of your wrist.

This is the anchor you will be invited to practice with.

Should this not suit you,

Please feel free to work with an anchor that does resonate with you.

You'll be guided to find your pulse again shortly,

So for now,

Relax your hands and arms.

Taking adjustments to your posture,

Gradually arriving into stillness.

Invite your bones,

Your muscles,

All your structures become heavy.

Inviting a few deep,

Nourishing breaths in and out of the nose.

Each one a little deeper than your last.

Allowing any lingering stress or tension to pass with each of your exhales.

The deadlines,

Responsibilities,

The tasks,

It can all be set aside for now.

You've carved out this time,

So give yourself the permission to really arrive here.

Letting your intention simply be to pause.

Watching your breath flow effortlessly in and out of your body.

Perhaps viewing this time as an opportunity to catch your breath.

Watching yourself for a moment.

When you're ready,

Finding your radial pulse on your preferred wrist.

Letting the index and middle fingers of your opposite hand come to rest gently over your anchor.

Applying a gentle pressure,

Creating a sense of connection without forcing tension elsewhere.

Feeling into your pulse point.

Observing the rhythm,

Its strength,

All without judgement.

Auditing development,

Merely basking in this connection to present moment.

And when you notice your attention wavering,

Getting caught in story and thought,

Be kind to yourself.

Pausing for a moment and then gently guiding your attention back to your pulse point.

Hl And here you are.

.

.

This living,

Breathing human being.

.

.

And let your pulse be your connection to life as it is right now.

.

.

The present moment.

.

.

And surrender yourself to this time.

.

.

Finding contentment in this simple act of pausing.

.

.

Being with yourself.

.

.

As we draw near to the end of this practice.

.

.

Place your hands into your lap.

.

.

Gently introduce some movement in the fingers,

Your toes.

.

.

A gentle shake or nod of the head.

.

.

Inviting a stretch if that feels right for you.

.

.

And beginning to come back to your surroundings with ease.

.

That was very grounding! I have never used my pulse as an anchor before and it was so calming. Thank you.
