Welcome to 5-minute Ajikkan meditation.
Ajikkan meditation is based on Indian yoga and is a meditation practice of Shingon Buddhism in Japan.
It is one of the easy ways to practice meditation using breathing technique.
In this meditation we will be mainly practicing the breathing technique of Ajikkan.
So let's begin.
In the next 2 minutes we will be breathing in through our nose and breathing out through our mouth.
With our breathing out through the mouth we can expel the bad energy from ourselves and cleanse our mind and body.
When we are calming down I will guide you to breathe normally using your nose.
When you are ready,
Please sit comfortably and take a deep breath.
Breathe in through our nose.
Breathe out through our mouth.
Breathe in through our nose.
Breathe out through our mouth.
Breathe in through our nose.
Breathe out through our mouth.
Now slowly close your eyes and keep breathing.
Breathe in through our nose.
Breathe out through our mouth.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Don't worry if you have a pulse or lost the track.
Simply start again with breathing in through the nose.
Breathe in.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
On our next breath we will breathe in and out through our nose normally.
Keep our eyes closed and sense the air getting in and out of our body.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Try to breathe at your own pace.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Don't worry if your mind wanders away.
Just simply come back and start breathing in again.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Feel the air getting into your lungs.
One more time.
Breathe in.
When you are ready open your eyes slowly.
How do you feel after this breathing exercise?
Do you feel your body getting lighter?
Did you fall asleep?
You may record your feeling every time you finish a meditation practice and try to notice if there is any difference of your mood or body from the previous practice.
See you next time.
