Our busy minds often disconnect us from our intuitive hearts. This brief morning reflection encourages you to take a moment and inquire, "What does my heart say?"—especially in moments of apprehension, overwhelm, or anxiety. Deliberately engaging in this simple self-check at different points throughout your day evokes whispers of inner wisdom to steer your intentions, choices, and attitude. Repeating this question realigns us with our authentic selves, beyond the limitations of our mental chatter and what the outside world asks us to be. So, if you've ever wondered, "How can I express my true self more fully?" or "How do I move beyond the constant inner narratives and racing thoughts in my mind?"—this practice provides a valuable tool for self-discovery.

Hey there friend,

I want to share with you a little message to start your day.

I'm going to present you with a little tool,

Something you could do at any point throughout your day to align more with your most authentic self.

You can see this as a little pep talk if you will,

That you can relax into and re-center yourself with the truth of who you really are.

And hopefully it can give you something to think about as you go about your day wearing all the many different hats that you wear and doing all the many different things that you do.

And maybe it can spark your spirit a bit and awaken your intuition.

So if you're able to get comfortable right now and close your eyes,

Please do.

And just feel the floor beneath your feet and just breathe and smile.

A smile on your face,

But also feel yourself smiling from the inside.

We spend a good part of our day,

I'd argue,

Stuck in our heads.

From all the stories and the mental chatter,

From whatever we are experiencing.

We are also conditioned to go about our day,

Especially our work day,

Concealing a part of our true self.

Whether because we're trying to fit in,

Avoid judgment,

Or because we've been programmed to believe we should only show certain parts of ourselves in certain situations.

So that brings us back to these two age-old questions which so many of us struggle with repeatedly throughout our lives.

How can I express my authentic self more fully and consistently?

And how do I get beyond the stories of my mind and the racing thoughts and the mental chatter?

So what if,

Instead of analyzing and overthinking our every move and trying to answer these struggles with our mind,

We took a moment to tap into a different source of wisdom,

Our hearts.

Here's a challenge for you today,

For you,

For me,

And collectively our greater consciousness.

What if before you embark on any new task or step into any situation,

Especially ones when you're feeling apprehensive,

Overwhelmed,

Or anxious,

You pause for a moment and ask yourself,

What does my heart say?

And you ask it again,

And what does my heart say?

The interesting thing about the heart is it's not just a muscle pumping blood.

It's an access point to intuition,

The superconscious,

And even to the soul itself.

It holds insights that our logical mind will overlook.

So ask this question a few times and just repeat it quietly to yourself.

And what does my heart say?

And what does my heart say?

Don't overthink it.

Don't analyze it.

Just listen.

Our heart speaks in whispers,

Not shouts.

It might be a subtle feeling you get,

A gentle pull,

Or a quiet knowing.

And even if you don't get an immediate feeling or nudge,

Just by asking the question activates your intuition and keeps the channel open for insights to come to you at another time.

In a world that values constant motion,

Constant doing,

And rapid decisions with information flying at us every second,

Taking a moment to connect with your heart brings you back to the truth of who you really are.

It's like a little adjustment you make throughout your day to align It's like a little adjustment you make throughout your day to align your actions,

Your choices,

Your attitude,

Your mindset,

Your desires,

And your in-the-moment experience with more of your authentic self.

So if you want to quiet the mental chatter a bit and infuse more authenticity into your life,

Start by getting out of your head and into your heart.

There is a wellspring of wisdom there.

Set the intention to make more time to visit it,

To go there.

And if you happen to try this,

I'd love to hear about your experience.

Please let me know in the comments.

Thanks for listening to this today.

Have a wonderful,

Beautiful,

And heartfelt day.

Much love.

You

So helpful. So heartfelt. So valuable. I will return to this often. A little more time to listen the heart might have been good, but that may be my personal preference. Thank you so much for creating and sharing 🙏💖✨

This morning message has been one of my favorites on Insight Timer! It really slows you down to ask what your heart wants to be more authentic each day. Thank you!
