Welcome to your deep sleep meditation.
We're going to be focusing on unwinding your mind to help you sleep.
No matter where you may be in this moment,
Whether you're in your bed,
Whether you're at an airport,
Whether you're in a plane,
Whether you're traveling,
Wherever you may be,
This meditation is made to be your bestie for your rest,
Your relaxation,
And your restorative deep sleep.
Sleep is so important.
It's essential for all areas of your life to function fully.
It's a vital time where your mind can restore itself and it's essential for all areas of your life.
But unfortunately with our busy lifestyles,
Their lives filled with high demands,
Stress,
And anxiety,
They can all get in the way of our precious sleep.
But mindfulness and meditation offers you amazing tools in order to relax your mind,
Melt away your stress and anxiety,
And return to the present moment and experience a deeply restorative sleep.
So let's begin.
I invite you to get comfortable wherever you are,
Supporting whatever position you choose.
And I invite you now to think about the day that has just passed.
Think about what went well today,
What didn't go so well,
And what could have been even better.
Bring to mind any frustration or any disappointment that you may have felt today and may still be carrying with you.
But remember,
It's in the past now.
Let it go with a deep,
Deep exhale.
Let it go.
And now bringing to mind how you have acted today.
Have you achieved the high expectations that we often set for ourselves?
Have we done something that was disappointing for you?
Maybe you would have done something different if you knew then what you know now.
So take a moment here and now to forgive yourself and let it go.
I invite you to imagine what a perfect tomorrow would look like.
Endless possibilities.
There's no right or wrong.
What would your perfect tomorrow look like?
And most importantly,
What would a perfect tomorrow feel like?
And now I invite you to bring your attention to your forehead.
With another deep,
Cleansing exhale,
Allow your forehead to relax,
Melting away any tension and with it,
Melting away any leftover thoughts.
And continuing now to relax in your cheeks,
Your eye sockets,
Your jaw.
Feeling a wave of relaxation wash over your entire face.
And now imagining this wave of relaxation traveling down into your neck and your shoulders.
We carry a lot of our tension here.
Stay here for a moment,
Maybe even wiggle your shoulders and your neck.
Breathing deeply into this area as you allow this tension,
This built up tension to melt away.
Let it go.
Continuing now to travel down your arms,
Directing this wave of relaxation with yet another deep breath,
Traveling down your arms.
Your upper arm down past your elbow,
Your forearm,
Your wrist,
Palms,
And each and every finger.
Feeling your arms completely relaxed.
Now coming into your heart center,
Your chest,
And with a deep cleansing breath,
Allowing it to relax.
Feeling this wave of relaxation flow completely effortlessly.
And we continue to travel down the body into your gut,
Your belly.
So your gut holds a lot of your stress.
So let's stay here for a couple of breaths,
And with intention,
Beginning to melt away all of that tension.
As we invite that wave of relaxation into your gut.
Breathe here.
And with it,
Your wave of relaxation travels down your spine,
Easing any tension along the way.
Watching as that wave of relaxation travels all the way from the tip of your head to your pelvis,
Your hips.
And here is yet another area that we hold a lot of emotions in your hips.
So again,
I invite you to stay here for as long as you feel drawn to.
Taking a couple of deep breaths and letting it all melt away.
And then finally we come to meet the legs.
And I invite you to visualize this beautiful wave of relaxation that you have created.
Watch as it flows effortlessly all the way from the top of your head,
Down your face,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your spine,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your hips,
Your pelvis,
And all the way down your legs and into your toes.
Feeling completely relaxed in your entire body.
And if you notice any areas of any leftover tension,
Going back to that area,
Sending a deep breath there and watch as that tension melts away.
And noticing now as your body feels more relaxed,
Your mind tends to follow as well.
Notice if your mind has become quiet.
Notice how it feels to be completely relaxed.
Feeling completely supported and safe wherever you are right now.
The earth is always supporting you wherever you may be.
And gently now bringing your attention back to your breath,
Your anchor in the present moment.
And I invite you to simply watch your natural rhythm of breath as you listen to the following healing sleep affirmations.
