This meditation is for healing, relaxing, and building self-compassion. This yoga nidra guides women to send compassion and love to all the version of them: the woman they were before the pregnancy loss, the woman they are in this moment, and the woman they are becoming. Welcome to this very gentle yoga nidra for pregnancy loss.
My name is Joss of Wild Womb and I invite you to prepare for your nidra.
I'm sending you so much love and congrats on healing,
On prioritizing your self-care during this difficult time.
If you're new to yoga nidra you can begin getting comfortable and that might look like you know lying down on your back.
It could be leaning against something if you prefer on your side.
Okay so take your time and notice how does my body want to lie and relax today.
And I also encourage you to find any props that would support your body.
That might look like pillows under your knees.
It could be a heavy blanket if you want to feel more grounded.
I also love an eye pillow or an eye rest and that can really help ensure that you feel more calm,
More relaxed.
So keep settling in and ensuring that you know you're in a very safe and peaceful space.
And that might look like you know closing the door,
Turning the notifications on your phone off,
Dimming the lights,
Something like that.
Wherever you're at continue relaxing,
Letting go as much as you can,
Surrendering down.
And with these nidras they are best when they're practiced often.
So I encourage you to enjoy this nidra for at least two weeks every day,
Every evening if you can.
Okay so take a few deep breaths.
Notice how that feels.
Yeah you might release your breath out your mouth as you exhale.
Take a nice inhale and again you're exhaling through your mouth.
Okay and keep feeling your body surrendering down so there's no holding,
No tension,
Nothing to hold on to.
Just softening.
Okay and you might notice the coolness of your breath on the inhale now and the warmth of your exhale.
You know starting to notice the parts of your body that are in contact with whatever you are lying on.
So maybe that's the backs of your heels,
Maybe you feel your back of the legs and the glutes and the back,
The back of the shoulders,
The back of your head.
And then keep relaxing.
So really letting go in your legs.
Let your legs soften.
Relax in your hips and your pelvic muscles.
Okay if you feel a sense of tension or holding in this space,
Notice how it feels to completely let go.
I am safe to let go.
Softening in your belly,
Relaxing through your chest and then really letting go in your shoulders.
Okay so feel your shoulders surrender down.
Relax in your arms,
Your fingers,
Soften through the back of your neck.
And now relax your tongue and your jaw.
Okay so if you're pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth,
Relax here.
Soften through your face and your eyelids as well.
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
And you might breathe now up and down your body.
So there's a beautiful meridian from your uterus to your heart.
Okay so as you inhale you could breathe from your pelvic muscles up to your heart.
Exhale slowly down.
Again inhale up this beautiful meridian of feminine energy.
Exhale all the way back down to your pelvic muscles.
Breathing up and down your body.
Okay now from here you might pause in your heart.
Okay so shining awareness,
Maybe a healing light in the center of your heart.
Notice how that feels.
Okay keep breathing in and out of your heart.
Sending love,
Sending compassion here.
And if it feels right in your practice,
Maybe an affirmation comes up.
My body and heart have the freedom to heal.
You might like to say this one or one of your choosing.
My body and heart have the freedom to heal.
My body and heart have the freedom to heal.
Keep breathing from the center of your heart.
Notice if there's a whisper or any sort of message here.
Okay now from here you're invited to follow my voice as I guide you on a very compassionate journey of checking in with yourself.
So you might look at yourself now.
Imagine looking at yourself from the space in front of your closed eyes.
Okay so it's almost as though you are looking down at yourself from above.
Looking down at yourself from above.
Okay so you you see yourself here relaxed,
Safe and enjoying this Nidra practice.
Okay now keep looking at yourself from above and notice how it feels to see yourself with so much kindness.
For the woman that you see right now in this moment,
Feel so much kindness for her.
And you might see everything about yourself in this moment.
Perhaps how tired you feel or just how you're feeling.
Maybe you notice what you're wearing or how you're lying here enjoying the practice.
What do you see?
Okay now keep shining that loving awareness and compassion on you as you look at yourself from above and really acknowledge who you are right now.
I see myself.
I love who I see.
I send her compassion and kindness.
Okay now almost as though you are watching a film play backwards,
You could start to move back through the hours before this moment where you see yourself.
Okay so what did you do today or yesterday?
What were those activities?
Keep moving back noticing what you've done.
Okay so you move into the woman that you were yesterday.
Who was she?
And you keep moving back.
You know you go all the way back to the woman that you were last year.
Who was the woman last year?
What was she like?
Send her love and compassion.
Okay now the woman that you were the year before that.
Again send her kindness.
Send her love.
Now you see the woman that you were before everything in your life changed.
Before everything in your life changed.
Who was that woman?
So you carry your awareness back as far as you choose.
Okay and you can pause at each point in your life with love,
With acknowledgement to the woman that you were at that time.
So you keep going back and you greet all these versions of you with love and kindness.
Notice how that feels.
Okay so when you sense that you've carried your awareness back as far as you'd like to go,
You could pause.
Okay so find a moment that feels good to pause at,
If at all.
And then stay with that woman that you see.
Okay so observe the woman that you were then in that moment from your past and what do you notice about her?
What is she wearing?
How is she standing?
What does she do for fun?
Now with so much compassion you might turn to face her now.
Okay so you're just facing her,
Gazing at her with compassion,
With love,
With kindness.
Noticing what you notice about her,
This version of you.
Keep gazing,
Keep facing her,
Keep noticing what she's wearing,
What she does for fun,
How she's standing.
Okay now imagine that you're preparing to say goodbye to her now.
Okay and she's smiling to you and she holds out a gift and she says carry this with you,
It's very precious.
Carry this with you,
It's precious.
Now as you're walking away you could hold that gift very close to your heart and you see yourself walking into the future,
Into this present moment.
So keep walking back to the present moment.
You're walking towards the woman that is here today.
The woman that you are now.
As you walk,
As you walk back to this moment you can pause as much as you need.
You can greet all of the changes along that path.
All the women that you have been,
That got you here today.
You could smile at those women with kindness and understanding.
Thank you.
Thank you for everything.
Thank you for your strength,
Your vulnerability.
Okay so you keep carrying that precious gift that you were given by the woman that you once were.
You still have that precious gift holding it close to your heart and you arrive now in this present moment.
You again,
You see yourself from above practicing Nidra.
Okay so you could softly approach yourself and you could place that gift on your heart.
So you feel that magical gift on your heart now.
Now as you do this,
Notice that the gift,
The outer package disappears and what remains is a very powerful and very warm feeling in your heart.
How does that feel?
Feel the warmth,
Feel the magic and the power of that gift in your heart now.
Breathe in and out into all those sensations.
That is your power.
Okay feel that essence of all that you loved most about who you were before.
Feel that warmth,
That magic.
Feel spacious,
Feel free in your heart right now.
Breathe in and out of that sensation.
That is your gift.
Now that feeling,
That essence of your true nature,
It is here with you right now in the center of your heart.
Feel that.
Feel the gift from the woman you were.
Feel it now.
It is your freedom to be who you are now,
Who you want to be,
What serves you.
You have that freedom.
I am aware of who I'm able to be at this point in my life.
I am aware of who I'm able to be at this point in my life.
Okay so allow your breathing to get a little bit louder now so it awakens you.
Inviting gentle movement into your body,
Maybe wiggling through your toes,
Through your fingers,
Maybe moving side to side through your neck.
You start to feel your body in contact with the ground again or with whatever you're lying on.
So you feel your legs,
You feel your glutes in your back,
You feel the back of your head.
You might slowly open your eyes now.
Notice two to three colors around you.
If you're inside looking at the corners of the room as well.
This yoga nidra is complete and I invite you to move very very slow.
Let your body and your energy transition back into the waking state gently and slowly.
So you might lay on your side for a moment.
Okay so there's an invitation to finish your practice perhaps from lying down or you might come up to seated.
Notice where you'd like to place your hands.
Okay so you could place your hands around your womb space,
On your breasts,
Your belly,
Whatever feels natural for you.
So touching your body if it feels okay.
And I'll come back to the affirmation that we started with and you might like to repeat it.
My body and heart have the freedom to heal.
My body and heart have the freedom to heal.
I'm sending you so many womb blessings.
Thank you.
