Getting clear on our vision is the first step in setting goals to move towards. Take some time to get crystal clear on this in this guided meditation. In it, you'll see yourself as you you'd like to be in a year and move backwards to establish actions and mindsets in order to get you there. Feel free to revisit this meditation as often as you need to stay clear on what you really want. Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Either sitting or laying down,

And closing your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhale positivity,

And exhale any tension.

Notice in your body if you're holding any tightness,

Whether it's in your eyes,

Your jaw,

Your shoulders,

Or your legs,

And with each exhale,

Work on consciously releasing that tension.

With your eyes still closed,

And for the next few breaths,

I want you to envision your perfect life one year from now.

Think about all of the different aspects of life,

Your health,

Your relationships,

What you've learned,

What you do,

Even your surroundings.

Allow this to play out vividly.

Imagine that you're watching a movie,

And your perfect life,

The best version of yourself,

Is the main character.

Now I want you to pause for a moment of gratitude,

And acknowledge everything that you've done that has got you to this point so far.

Think about all of the positive aspects in your current life.

Think about the challenges that you've overcome.

Think about the lessons that you've learned.

Think about how far you've come on your journey to this point.

Now going back to that wonderful version of yourself that you see a year from now,

Think about what it will take to get there.

Take a few breaths and set some intentions for the upcoming year.

Think about the changes that you want to make.

Think about the goals you want to achieve,

And imagine yourself doing these as often as you need.

This could be eating a healthy,

Wholesome diet.

This could be being physically active every day.

It could look like developing a strong meditation practice.

Whatever it will take in order to help you realize your best life a year from now,

Set those as your aspirations.

Now with your next breath,

Take a deep inhale and exhale,

And imagine any obstacles that you can foresee coming up on your journey.

Thinking back to all of the lessons,

Thinking back to all of the challenges that you've already overcome,

See yourself as being resilient and adapting,

And being able to overcome whatever might present itself within the next year.

Acknowledge and embrace that strength within you.

From here,

I want you to go back to that vision of yourself.

This time,

Not only do I want you to see it as something like a movie,

But I want you to envision yourself in that embodiment.

I want you to feel the emotions associated with living that best life.

How do you feel?

In the next few breaths,

I want you to change your attention and think about self-care.

In all of the hustle and bustle that it may take for you to accomplish your goals,

We might forget about self-care.

Think about things that nourish your mind,

Body,

And soul,

And imagine how you'd like to incorporate them in order to have a balanced and fulfilling daily routine.

Imagine yourself living a life that is wholesome.

One that feels complete.

One where you don't burn yourself out.

One where you take care of yourself.

One where you accomplish all the things that you set your mind to.

And now for the next few breaths,

I want you to move away from the physical components of accomplishing your goals,

And I want you to connect with your spiritual self.

Think back to any moments where you've experienced inner peace.

This could be through a meditation,

Through another spiritual practice,

Or even being out in nature.

Think about how those contribute to a sense of wholeness and how you can incorporate them into your daily life.

As we take our next few final deep breaths,

I want you to affirm your commitment to this vision of yourself that you see in the future.

Feel the energy within you,

Take note of your determination,

And when you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes so that you can carry this intention into the next year.

Taking one more deep breath,

And bowing our head for a moment of gratitude,

Connect with yourself and know that whenever you need to reconnect with your vision,

You can always return to this practice.
