This guided meditation allows you to connect with your inner voice and receive guidance and wisdom.
Through deep relaxation and focused attention,
You can explore your inner world and tap into the intuitive knowing that resides within you.
Begin by settling into your seat or lying down if you prefer.
When you are ready,
I invite you to gently close your eyes or look down,
Whatever is best for you,
Allowing the energy in your body to soften,
Letting go of anything outside of this present moment,
Releasing any thoughts or judgments that arise,
Just coming back to your breath or my voice,
Continuing to allow your body to soften,
Creating a sense of ease,
Feeling your shoulders start to soften,
Your neck,
Allowing your jaw to release,
Focusing on that space between your eyebrows,
Allowing it all to release.
As we move into this meditation,
Make a conscious choice to allow there to be a sense of openness and receptivity to something new.
Continuing to allow your body to relax and unwind,
Open your heart to any emotions that might arise,
Letting them move through you with awareness,
But I invite you to not attach to the emotions,
Just getting curious about them,
Following them with your breath as they move through your body.
Use your breath to allow yourself to release the emotion up and out of your body.
As mind thoughts arise,
And they will,
This is always part of meditation.
These can be worry,
Anxiety,
Making to-do lists,
Trying to figure things out,
Or even daydreaming about the past or the future.
The mind resides in the future or the past,
So observe them,
Feel them,
Without getting caught up in them,
Even imagine them as a river just floating by,
Just flowing through your consciousness.
Then return your attention to this present moment,
Back to your inner voice and back to your breath,
Breathing in and out.
Your inner voice is loving and wise.
It may talk to you in images,
Symbols,
Or signs.
It may be a feeling in your stomach or your heart.
Often it can be goosebumps or a sense of inner knowing.
It may take time to understand the language of your inner voice.
Everyone has their own language.
This is your inner world.
So relax,
Breathe,
And allow whatever wants to come up to come up.
You cannot do this wrong.
You are safe.
This is your inner world we're exploring,
Yours alone.
Continue breathing and exploring the space between your thoughts,
Using your exhale.
As we turn our attention to your inner voice,
I will invite you to sense with your body,
Becoming aware of what you feel.
What do you hear?
Be aware of what you see in your mind's eye.
Do you see images or symbols?
In a moment I will invite you to listen for your inner voice and then we will just breathe and listen together,
Allowing your inner voice to say anything it would like to to you.
Now,
If you don't hear anything,
That's okay.
But sometimes when we hold our breath,
We're also holding mind thoughts.
So to go beyond the mind,
We need to stop holding our breath.
Using your breath,
Continue to direct your attention towards your inner voice.
As your inner voice joins with you,
I invite you to say out loud or even silently,
Inner voice,
What would you like me to know today?
Now breathe,
Exhale and listen.
Letting go of anything else by breathing out and listening.
Focusing on feelings,
Images or sounds or words arising from your inner voice.
Don't force,
Just allow with curiosity,
Relax and trust the answers are there.
Bringing your awareness to your breath and to this present moment,
Begin to come back into your space.
Feel yourself grounded safely in your body.
Allow yourself to take with you what was most meaningful from spending time with your inner voice.
Whether it's a message,
A feeling or a new sense of happiness or calm.
Knowing that you can tap into this intuitive knowing that resides within you,
With your inner voice,
Just by connecting to your breath at any point of your day.
Allow the feeling of your inner knowing and your inner connection to your inner voice be nourished and cared for by sending love and gratitude now.
When you are ready,
You can wiggle your fingers and your toes and gently open your eyes.
And have an absolutely beautiful day.
