Hi,
This is Brett.
I wanted to do a quick meditation that's an immersion meditation.
These are a little intense,
So you might want to be sure you give yourself some time.
You want to get comfortable and sit down or lay down.
I prefer,
Actually,
If people sit down for these kinds of things.
And you want to be in a place where you're not going to be interrupted.
If it's important,
As best you can.
And just begin by closing your eyes and turning inward,
Taking a breath and relaxing.
This first phase is just transitioning,
Transitioning to being focused on your inner experience.
Take a breath and relax.
Letting go with each breath,
Relaxing on the exhale.
Breathing in,
And notice where you breathe.
In other words,
Is the air going into your chest or your stomach?
Do you feel tension in your back?
There's no right or wrong here,
Just noticing,
Just noticing.
Relaxing,
Exhale.
Breathing in,
Holding the breath just for a moment.
Not really holding,
But just pausing.
And exhale.
Letting go of the static,
The noise in your life.
Whatever's going on,
We're just pressing pause.
Nothing to do,
Nothing to achieve for the next little bit.
We'll do this for a few more minutes,
Just breathing in and relaxing.
Feeling yourself getting deeper,
A little more calm,
A little more relaxed.
Letting it all go with each breath.
And on your exhale,
Be sure just to let go,
Maybe shake your hands,
Like getting rid of the static,
The busyness.
Just letting it all calm down,
Almost like there's a whirlwind around and that stops and all the stuff is just settling,
Just settling.
Things becoming clearer and settling and calmer.
Turning your attention inward,
Going deeper with each breath.
Just noticing whatever thoughts you're having.
Oh,
Yes,
I'm just having those thoughts.
And coming back to paying attention to your breathing.
I'm going to invite you to imagine some place where it feels like you're really,
Really safe and peaceful and relaxed.
For me,
This is like the edge of a pond.
It's so beautiful with trees around,
Maybe some frog sounds or bird sounds.
For some people,
It's a beach.
For other people,
It's like a forest or a meadow,
Maybe in a room or under a blanket.
It doesn't matter as long as you feel really,
Really safe,
Unquestionably so.
And if you can't find that place,
That's fine too.
Just do the best you can.
Maybe you imagine you need to put up some sentries or some guards or angels to protect you for a little while.
After all,
We're just relaxing and breathing.
Nothing to do,
Nothing to accomplish.
Nothing to do,
Nothing to accomplish.
No one to judge you.
No one to impress.
And in this really safe space,
Imagine a time when you felt really cared about,
Where you felt the feeling of love and being cared about.
Maybe it's associated strongly with another person.
And if so,
I want to urge you to not focus on the other person,
But focus on the feeling of being loved.
What does it feel like to let yourself feel cared for?
It's almost like,
Imagine the earth holding you up without fail,
Will support you always,
Always,
Every time,
In no conditions.
And the sun will shine on you always,
Without question,
Without trying to deem whether you're worthy or not.
And the stars in the sky will twinkle for you.
No matter how good or bad you're doing,
Or how well you think you are doing,
Or how unhappy you are,
Or how amazing you are with other people,
It doesn't matter.
The stars will be there for you.
Begin to feel what it's like to be in a body,
In a world,
In a spirit inhabiting this body,
To have such completely unconditioned,
Completely reliable,
And begin,
If you can,
To breathe into your heart this feeling as if all of this was actually love.
This is the way the universe expresses love.
And there's no question about it.
Whether it's there for you,
It's there for you,
Always.
And the love that comes from other people is simply an expression of this bigger love coming through these personal channels.
And the feeling of connection that we get with people sometimes through this channel is really a connection to this bigger,
Deeper love that transcends people,
But yet people express this love in their personal lives.
So when I look at a mountain,
And I see its majesty,
I feel the warmth of the sun.
That is love itself speaking to the love in me.
And the only limitation for how much I can feel is what am I willing to allow.
So I ask you,
How much love will you allow yourself to feel?
Because there is an abundance,
An unlimited amount of it available to you in every moment,
Unconditioned,
Unqualified,
And it's personal.
Breathing this feeling of connection to the support and presence of life itself,
Which is giving you this moment,
To manifest in.
Relaxing,
Opening your heart with all of its pain and its longing and its injuries and suffering,
As well as the glory of basking in the beauty of love,
The healing power of love,
The unifying nature of love.
Breathing in to your whole being,
Every hurt and injury and feeling of injustice in your life,
Illuminated and bathed,
Not to take it away unless it wants to go,
But to say,
Yes,
This too is loved and accepted.
Breathing into each cell of your body,
And if you feel this in your chakras,
Let that be present too.
Taking a big breath and letting it bathe your whole being,
Your whole body,
Your whole energy system.
Breathing in this big love,
Breathing out,
Relaxing and accepting,
Releasing,
Surrendering into the arms of this consciousness.
If any part of you doesn't want to,
That's fine,
That too is loved.
That's fine,
At your own pace,
In your own way,
Releasing anything that wants to release.
Don't try to make meaning out of anything,
Just be in the experience.
And this is a great place to offer any wishes.
Help me.
Help me be whole.
Help me speak my truth and feel the heart of the world beating in me,
The heart of my own essence.
Is that heart,
The heart of the divine,
If you think of it that way as well.
Take a few more breaths.
Feel this in your mind,
Feel this in your heart.
Feel this in your eyes,
And in your voice,
In your lungs,
In your stomach,
Solar plexus,
Navel area,
And pelvis.
Your legs,
Your feet,
Your shoulders,
Arms,
And your hands.
Feel yourself in the center of this relatively radiant,
Powerful field,
Energy field,
That is infused with this presence and awareness of love and support.
And remember what this feels like.
If it feels good to you,
Remember.
Take note.
Take a breath and remember.
This is better.
This feels good.
And imagine for a moment walking through the rest of your day the rest of your week or the rest of your life with more of this in your awareness.
Speaking and hearing and doing and loving from this place.
From here,
What are you willing to let go of?
And what are you willing to receive?
This is in the direction of who you really are and what you're really about.
Take a moment.
Connect all of this.
Connect all of this.
Begin to move around and organize around,
Coming back to reality,
The 3D world,
If you will.
Taking your time as slowly as you wish.
Probably slower than you wish is better.
For me,
I have a little ritual where I just rub my eyes and my face and rub my hands together and then come back.
And notice how you feel now.
Don't rush to the next thing.
Let this linger.
