Surrender to an 8-hour journey that beautifully weaves together traditional Yoga Nidra and modern somatic healing. This practice is designed to guide you into a state of "yogic sleep"—the restorative space between waking and dreaming. We begin with evidence-based nervous system regulation, using rhythmic eye movements and breath-work to anchor your body in a sense of total safety. As you drift into the "Winter Sanctuary", your analytical mind softens, allowing transformative affirmations to plant deeply within the subconscious. Set to healing frequencies and mapped to your natural 90-minute sleep cycles, this integrative practice ensures you wake up feeling rooted, radiant, and biologically renewed.

Welcome!

This is Taryn,

And I'm so grateful you've chosen this space for your rest.

This is Volume 2 of the Wellspring Willow 8-Hour Journey,

The Winter Sanctuary.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to truly craft your winter nest.

Smooth out your sheets,

Adjust your pillows,

Feel the weight of your blankets settling over you like a protective shield.

If there's any lingering chill,

Invite in a sense of radiating warmth to begin at your core.

You are creating a private sanctuary where the cold cannot reach you.

Give yourself full permission to be completely,

Unconditionally cozy.

The calendar is turning,

But here,

Time is circular.

You don't need to do anything to be ready for the new year.

You only need to be just as you are.

Allow this to be your threshold,

A time to leave behind the noise of the past and the pressure of the future.

The present moment is a gift,

And tonight,

You step into your power as the creator of your own peace.

For the first portion of our journey tonight,

My voice will guide your mind into the deep soil of the subconscious mind.

Then,

As my voice begins to fade,

You'll be seamlessly cradled in the deep,

The velvet hush of falling snow alongside healing frequencies for the remainder of the night.

Your only task is to remain rooted in the stillness of the night.

Take a deep breath in with me through the nose,

Feeling the cool air fill the lungs like a crisp winter morning,

And then exhale with a long,

Audible sigh.

Begin to notice any points of contact that your body makes with your blankets,

Sheets,

Pillow.

Imagine that the surface beneath you,

Or the earth,

Is slowly rising up to meet you,

Supporting every curve of your spine.

You no longer have to hold yourself up.

Gravity is doing the work for you.

Sense your body sinking into the snow of the cushion beneath you.

With your eyes closed,

Gently move your gaze all the way to the left,

Then all the way to the right,

As far as comfortable.

All the way to the left,

Then all the way to the right.

Repeat this twice more on your own.

This movement tells your amygdala,

Your brain's ancient alarm system,

That you have already scanned the horizon and confirmed that you are safe now.

Safe here.

The silent snowfall outside is your signal that all is clear.

There's no need to worry tonight.

All is clear.

Your vigilance is no longer required.

You are hidden,

Protected.

Begin to imagine now,

Just imagine,

That you're lying in a warm,

Glass sanctuary within the heart of a frozen forest.

Allow your awareness to move to your legs,

Imagine that they are the deep,

Ancient roots of a great pine tree in this forest,

Reaching far below the frost line into the steady,

Warm earth.

For these roots have taken hundreds,

Even thousands of years to secure themselves deep into the earth,

So expansive yet unseen,

Giving you the strength to stand up on your own just as you are.

There are times your trunk will grow faster than others,

But the roots will already be there to support the growth.

The roots are inherently yours,

Your lineage,

Your ancestors of the past,

You are the sovereign of this space.

Your heart,

Held securely,

Will sense the harmony of opposites.

Begin to imagine the feeling of biting cold,

The cold of the frozen forest air outside the glass,

The biting cold of the radiating warmth beneath your blanket.

Living in balance,

In harmony with each other,

Begin to notice the heaviness of your bones,

Almost as if they are stones in the earth.

Imagine the sense of lightness of a single snowflake drifting through the frozen night air.

Finally,

Imagine a crystal light floating just above your head.

It's not a burden,

It's a filter.

It allows only peace and calm to enter,

Keeping the chaos of the world outside the glass.

You are the creator of this space,

The sovereign of its making.

As the forest falls into a deep winter sleep,

Remember,

Like the roots beneath the snow,

Your stillness is your preparation.

You are not doing nothing,

You are gathering the power,

The power required to bloom when the time is right.

You are honoring the cycle,

Honoring yourself.

Now,

Begin to let these truths land in the deep soil of your being.

I will speak them,

And you may simply let them meld into your heart.

I am the sovereign of my own stillness.

Like the pine tree in the winter,

My rest is my power.

Like the pine tree in the winter,

My rest is my power.

Like the pine tree in the winter,

My rest is my power.

I am protected,

Chosen by my own soul,

And I am deeply held.

I am protected,

Chosen by my own soul,

And I am deeply held.

I am protected,

Chosen by my own soul,

And I am deeply held.

I enter this new cycle,

Rooted,

Radiant,

And real.

I enter this new cycle,

Rooted,

Radiant,

And real.

I enter this new cycle,

Rooted,

Radiant,

And real.

As my voice now begins to fade into the silence of the frost,

Allow these truths to become part of your breath,

Part of your bones,

Part of your dreams.

You are the sovereign of this night.
