Have you ever been confused or surprised by your own or someone else's emotional response to a situation?

Perhaps you felt a large emotional surge to a small situation.

More often than not,

This reaction arose not because of the current situation itself,

But because it reminded you of how you felt in a previous one.

A previous memory which is still stored in your body,

But not stuck.

And the great news is,

Having awareness of these unproportionate reactions is the hardest bit.

But now you are aware,

You can take steps to change your response,

To really listen to what it is your inner child is asking for in that moment.

And you might be surprised.

Whatever it is,

Meet yourself with love and find a way to give your inner child what they need,

What they wish they heard when they were young,

When you were young.
