Hello and welcome.

Today we will be focusing on sankalpa which is the Sanskrit word for intention setting.

It's a little bit different than setting an intention.

When I for example set an intention to be more healthy I say I intend to eat healthier where with sankalpa I say I am healthy.

So in my mind I have already achieved what I want to achieve by using the present tense.

Sankalpa is a powerful practice that allows us to plant the seeds of a positive change in our subconscious mind.

By setting a clear and heartfelt sankalpa we can align our actions and thoughts with our deepest desires.

If you feel anxious a lot or worried about the future maybe you can say I am safe,

I've got my back.

Take a moment to reflect on what you truly want to achieve in your life.

It could be anything related to your health,

Relationships,

Personal growth,

Any aspect of your life really.

Think about what truly matters to you and what changes you wish to see.

Now make sure you are putting your statement in the present tense.

I am successful,

I am safe,

I am loving,

I am kind,

I am healthy and whenever you have your sankalpa,

Whenever you're ready,

I invite you to get comfortable.

If you're not already in a relaxed position either lying down or seated,

Close your eyes and let's begin our practice.

Take a big inhale through the nose,

Into the belly,

Into the chest.

Enjoy the journey,

The feeling of your lungs filling up with air,

Your body expanding into the space around you.

Exhale with peace,

Slowly.

Make sure to exhale is a little bit longer than your inhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Another big inhale and let it all go.

I invite you to feel into your body,

Keep using this time to just be in this present moment,

In the here and now.

You're doing so well.

Sometimes it's really hard for us to see the progress.

We all have our little imposters in ourselves,

The little imposter syndrome that creeps along every now and then.

Just know you're enough.

Maybe that's your sankalpa today.

I am enough.

Now bring to your mind your sankalpa,

Your heartfelt intention.

Silently repeat your sankalpa three times with full awareness and conviction.

Truly mean what you are saying to yourself.

Feel the meaning of each word as you repeat it.

Envision yourself having achieved what you want to achieve.

Relax your shoulders,

Your hands,

Your belly,

Your glutes,

Your feet.

Focus on the spot between your eyebrows with your eyes closed.

Hear your surroundings.

Feel the space around your body,

The air on your skin.

Feel your body expanding into that space around you with every inhale and relaxing deeper into the ground beneath you with every exhale.

With every breath,

Relaxing more and more into the present moment.

Letting go of all the tension you're holding.

Feeling your energy flow effortlessly through your body.

Whenever you feel you're lost in thought,

Gently bring yourself back into the present moment,

Into your body.

Focusing on your senses.

What do you hear?

What do you feel?

What do you feel?

Can you see,

Can you envision yourself having achieved what you want to achieve?

Your sankalpa.

What does this feel like?

Are you happy?

Grateful?

Feel into it.

Give yourself a little smile.

Be proud of yourself for being on this journey.

For setting goals for yourself.

For wanting to achieve more.

You can be so proud of yourself for showing up.

For taking the steps towards your goals.

With your next inhale,

Slowly and gently get back to the present moment.

Take a deep deep breath.

Fill up your lungs and your belly.

Hold at the top.

Engage your belly muscles and squeeze the air and the blood all the way into your head.

Feel the pressure.

Hold and exhale.

Let it all go.

One more inhale.

Deep deep deep into the belly.

Expand the belly.

Expand the chest.

Take up space.

Take another big sip of air in.

Another one.

Hold at the top.

Engage your belly muscles.

Squeeze.

Bring the blood flow into your brain,

Into your head.

And exhale.

Let go.

Well done on your mindfulness training.

Take a moment to reflect and have a great rest of your day.
