Working from home can blur the lines between your professional life and your personal space, leaving your mind scattered and your energy depleted. In this practice, we gently quiet the noise of distraction and bring your awareness back to the present moment. You’ll learn how to create a mental ritual that signals when you’re “on” for work and when it’s time to truly be at home. By grounding your breath and intention, focus becomes effortless rather than forced. The result is a sense of balance, ease, and spaciousness that supports both your productivity and your well-being. Hi,

I'm Suzy from Unplugged Meditation,

And this is a meditation for peace during the pandemic.

Now,

We're working from home and it is distracting.

I don't know about you,

But it's weird to work at my kitchen table when my refrigerator is there begging me to eat everything inside of it.

Or some people are hearing noises from their kids or from their dogs even the internet calling their name.

We need to separate work and home,

And the best way to do it is to go within.

So this is a meditation to help you focus and follow through even in the middle of all of that distraction.

So let's begin by closing our eyes.

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through the nose.

And releasing through the mouth.

We're just going to do that a few more times.

And just bringing in the word,

Focus on the inhale,

And releasing the word distraction on the exhale.

So we're bringing in focus,

And we're breathing out distraction.

And maybe we just want to focus on breathing right now.

And by focusing our awareness on breathing,

We move away from the distraction.

Keeping your breath deep and slow.

Relaxing your face and your shoulders.

Letting all distractions go.

And giving yourself some space to actually choose what you want to do.

What do you want to focus on?

Asking yourself,

What do I want to focus on right now?

Could just be your breath.

What do I want to focus on right now?

And now let's just release all of that and focus on our breath,

Deep and slow.

Nothing to do,

Nowhere to be,

But right here,

Right now.

And letting go.

And when you're ready,

You can begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes and open your eyes.

And I hope you found some peace,

Presence,

And space amidst all the distraction.

Have a great day.
