Hi,

I'm Suzie at Unplugged,

And this is a meditation to help you elevate your mood.

In fact,

You are one meditation away from a good mood,

Because we always are.

So let's get comfortable,

Close our eyes,

Sit back,

Relax,

And take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose.

And then an audible exhale out through your mouth,

Releasing,

Letting go,

Relaxing your face,

Your shoulders,

Your body.

And just gently let your body breathe you as you take breaths naturally,

Normally.

And maybe even placing a hand over your chest,

Feeling your chest rise and fall,

And your belly rise and fall as we breathe in and breathe out.

Maybe just placing a smile on your face,

And that smile will send a signal to your brain to make you feel a little happier,

Even if you don't.

It's just muscle memory.

Try it.

See if you feel the difference for yourself.

Just a big smile.

Now,

Placing a hand over your heart and over your belly,

And just feel the breath as it goes in and out of your body as your belly rises and falls,

And taking a moment to thank yourself for effortlessly breathing.

That in itself is a miracle and a gift.

Just notice how when you bring your awareness to your breath,

You also are bringing your awareness to this precious,

Present moment.

You are here right now.

And how lucky are you to be here right now,

Being able to take this time for self-care to actually notice your breath,

Like a precious gift we receive every day.

And what other precious gifts do you receive daily that you might not notice?

Just allow whatever pops up to pop up,

And take a moment to experience gratitude for those little gifts like your breath and your heartbeat and all the little things we probably ignore.

And create your own gratitude list.

Now that we're able to hear her still and silent voice,

Let's take a moment to ask ourself this precious question,

Which is,

What can I do that feels good for me?

It could be taking walks.

It could be hanging out with a friend.

Whatever it is that makes you feel good,

This is your moment to create a feel-good list.

And just notice what pops up.

And also,

Try to visualize yourself as you're creating your feel-good list,

Doing your feel-good list.

Now that you know what makes you feel good,

We're just going to lock it into our heart by placing our hand over our heart and setting the intention to do more of what feels good for you.

And when you feel good,

Everyone around you feels good.

It has that ripple effect.

And as we close out today's meditation,

What is one kind thing that you can say to yourself?

As we take one more deep breath through our nose,

Filling up our cup,

And a long exhale,

Releasing all the stuck energy.

Let's begin to gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

And I hope you feel as good as I do.

I know that this is a technique that works and I would love to hear your feedback.

So leave us a comment and have a great day.
