Whether you think often about the earth, nature or anything along those lines, it's helpful to connect into the earth’s energy if you feel called to do so. If you enjoy this type of practice, this mediation is designed to help you visualize nature and connect into what feels supportive. We all have different perspectives on which part of nature speaks to us the most so I encourage journaling as a part of this practice as well. Allow for the easy earth energy to comfort you in a way that you need it the most. Music: Autumn Sky Meditation by NaturesEye

Hi,

This is Stephanie Boxerbaum.

Thank you so much for meditating with me today.

For today's practice,

We're going to be doing an earth energy practice.

Now,

Whether you've ever really thought of the earth or the ground as something helpful to you in your practice,

There's always a first time for everything.

So I invite you to get really comfortable in your scene.

Maybe that's even sitting on the ground for this practice or taking your shoes off and standing in the grass,

Maybe leaning your back up against a tree,

Whatever really feels like it can resonate for you.

And if none of those things are available,

That's okay too.

You can simply be in your room,

Sitting in a chair,

Visualizing yourself doing these things.

Maybe you're walking in the sand or walking in the grass.

It's really just kind of visualizing when you hear the phrase earth energy,

What comes to you?

And it's okay if nothing does,

Because sometimes we don't always stay so connected to how we're feeling about the earth or nature or any of those types of topics.

And that's okay.

This is really meant to just be a grounding practice and touching into the idea that the earth or the universe,

Whichever word resonates for you is here to support you.

So taking a gentle breath in and a deep exhale out.

And doing that once more,

Deep inhale in and a deep exhale out.

And really taking a moment to sense into this feeling of being grounded.

And what first comes to mind when you think of being grounded?

Do you see the ocean?

Do you see the mountains?

Do you see a river?

Perhaps the desert?

What do you really associate in terms of this idea of grounded nature,

Earth energy?

What really comes up for you?

And there's no right or wrong answer.

It's just what's present today.

Today,

Maybe it feels like the ocean.

Tomorrow,

Maybe it will be the mountains.

That's what's so amazing about these practices is that every day can be different.

So just sensing into what feels grounding.

What do you visualize?

And once you have this vision in your head,

Let's just breathe into this a little bit.

I'll watch our time here.

And as you visualize this surrounding that feels like earth energy,

Beginning to sense into what are you doing when you're in this space?

Are you sitting?

Are you laying down?

Are you running through trees?

Just kind of play around with what it feels like to have earth energy and where you are when you're having it.

Letting yourself just be free without any kind of judgment.

And we'll just stay here for a minute,

Continuing to breathe in and breathe out,

Visualizing this grounded feeling in a space that feels good to you today.

Taking a deep inhale in and a gentle exhale out.

And doing that once more deep inhale in and a deep exhale out.

And just coming to the center,

The center of your breath,

The center of your body.

And asking this question,

How can I let this earth energy support me?

How can I let this earth energy support me?

And I'm a big fan of letting whatever answer comes to you first be the right one.

Maybe it's to help you feel better.

Maybe it's to help you feel more grounded.

Maybe it's to help you release energy that's not working for you anymore.

Or maybe you're just getting to know this idea of earth energy and what it means to you.

So we want to stay open,

Stay welcoming.

And just gently exploring how can this earth energy support me?

So I'll watch our time here.

And it's really giving yourself a real moment to continue visualizing anything that you associate with earth energy.

It can be often very calming,

Grounding.

And if it's adding any tension or stress,

Perhaps putting a hand on heart to allow some extra comfort.

And connecting in with whatever feels good today.

Taking another deep inhale in and a gentle exhale out.

Just allowing the mind and the body to rest.

After doing this meditation,

It's always a nice idea to journal and just kind of jot down what came up for you when you think about earth energy.

You know,

Every day we're out in the world doing what we're doing,

Walking around,

Driving,

Whatever the case may be.

And the earth energy is always surrounding us whether we're paying attention to it or not.

It's like no mud,

No lotus with Thich Nhat Hanh.

And that the lotus flower can't grow unless it has the mud and the mud smells really bad.

So we want to be able to take in our recognition around the earth.

Nature,

How it's supporting us,

What we can do to support nature.

And whatever outcome or whatever vision or ideas that come from a practice like this,

It's always helpful to write them down.

Not because you have to act on any of it this very second,

But maybe you want to grow a garden.

Maybe you're looking to go to the ocean more.

It's just how can we connect in with the earth energy without any judgment,

Without any right answer,

With just this idea of connecting into it.

So allowing the mind to settle here for these next few minutes,

Thinking yourself,

Your body,

Your mind for this practice.

Taking that next gentle inhale in and the deep exhale out.

And beginning to wiggle your fingers and toes.

Knowing that the earth energy is something you can always come back to any time you want.

Sharing a reminder that you are always enough as is.

And when you're ready,

Gently opening your eyes.

Thank you so much for meditating with me today.

And I hope to be meditating with you again soon.

Meditating again with you soon.
