This short guided meditation invites you to reconnect with your body through a lens of appreciation and kindness. With gentle cues and calming breathwork, you'll be guided to notice, thank, and honour different parts of your body - just as they are. It's a moment to step away from judgment and return to the simple truth that your body is doing its best for you, every day. Perfect for starting or ending your day with a little more presence and self-compassion.

Welcome to this body gratitude meditation.

Now before we begin I want to ask you to find a quiet comfortable place where you will not be disturbed.

Sit or lie down whatever you find more comfortable and what we're going to do is take three deep breaths together breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.

With each exhale I'd like you to allow your eyes to slowly start to close so as on the final exhale your eyes will be fully closed and we'll begin the meditation.

So if you start to breathe in through your nose feel the cool air as it goes in and down into your belly and then breathe out through your mouth noticing how the air feels warmer as it comes out when you exhale and just slowly begin to blur your eyes as they start to close.

Now let's breathe in again through the nose letting your eyes close that little bit more.

And finally last one big breath in through the nose and then as you exhale through the mouth close your eyes completely.

So we're going to start at the very top of your head at the crown and what I'd like you to do is breathe in as if you're breathing light into the crown of your head.

Breathe in through the crown into your skull and around your brain and all the bones and muscles around it.

Breathe into these areas sending nourishing nutrient-rich oxygen to all of them.

As you do this send them love,

Appreciation and gratitude for your wonderful brain.

This is an organ that works for you every single day.

It helps you,

It protects you and it allows you to live in this world.

Your brain is there for you even if it sometimes may not feel that way.

Allow love and gratitude to wash all over your brain and silently thank it for everything it does.

Okay now scan down to your chest and begin to feel your heart beating,

The constant and consistent beat of life within your chest.

Acknowledge how big and powerful it is and begin to feel all the love that it holds.

Be happy and appreciative of the job that your heart so perfectly does,

Perfectly pumping oxygen-rich blood out to every single cell in your entire body.

And now allow love and gratitude to wash over your hard-working heart and silently thank it for all it does.

Let your mind glide sideways to your shoulders and go down over your arms and into your hands.

Acknowledge the abundance of love and creativity that these parts of your body radiate out daily.

Arms that can hug and hold,

Hands that can paint,

Write and make music.

Radiate love and gratitude and let it wash all the way down from your shoulders into the tips of your fingers.

Silently thank this part of your body and all that it allows you to do.

Now let's slowly move down to your lungs and be aware of the consistent work they continually do.

Notice your breath and feel as your stomach rises and falls as you inhale and exhale.

Be grateful for the work your lungs have done for you since the day you were born and will continue to do until the very end.

Marvel at the ease at how they constantly exchange gases in perfect harmony and balance.

Be in awe at your breath and how it is a constant ally both energizing and relaxing you.

Breathe in love and let it wash all over your lungs and silently give thanks for all that they do for you.

As you continue to breathe start to move your attention to where your body is making contact with the surface beneath you.

Feel how supported you are against your seat,

Your back and your feet.

Feel the sturdiness and balance that your body gives you and let love and gratitude wash all over it.

Slowly move your attention down to your legs and feet,

Your main modes of transport on this earth.

They work harmoniously with you to take you to the places you wish to go.

Your healthy legs and feet give you the ability to walk,

Run and dance.

The gift of movement is yours.

Let your gratitude and love wash over your legs from your hips down to the tips of your toes and silently give thanks for all that they allow you to do.

And now take a deep breath and take some time to allow the newfound love and gratitude that you have for your entire body wash over every part of you.

Starting at the top of your head and working down over your face,

Neck and shoulders into your chest,

Arms and hands and down through your stomach,

Legs and feet.

Thank every part of your body as you go for being perfect just the way it is.

As we come to the end of this body gratitude meditation,

I'd like to ask you to take one last big deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Feel a strong warm glow of appreciation for the love that you've just shown your beautiful body today and slowly open your eyes and allow yourself to adjust to the rest of your day.

I send you love and blessings.
