Good morning and welcome,
I'm so glad you're here.
Before the day takes hold,
Before the noise,
The lists,
The movement,
This is your moment just for you to arrive,
To begin again exactly as you are.
Wherever you are,
Lying down,
Sitting up or even standing with a moment to yourself,
There's no need to change anything.
You don't have to be a certain way to begin this day well.
Let's begin.
Bring your attention to your body,
Feel the contact points,
Your seat,
Your feet,
The ground beneath you.
And now notice your breath,
Wherever it is,
There's no need to change it,
Just greet it and softly say to yourself,
I am here,
I am awake,
I am beginning.
Let's take three intentional breaths together.
Inhale slowly through the nose,
Exhale gently out the mouth.
Again,
Inhale slowly through the nose and exhale gently out the mouth.
One more time,
Slow and steady,
Let it ground you,
Let it soften your edges.
Now let your breath return to a natural rhythm,
Let your awareness gently follow it in and out.
If your mind wanders,
That's okay,
Just come back.
Each breath is a doorway back to presence.
Scan through the body from head to toe,
Softly,
Without judgment.
Notice what's here,
Tightness,
Warmth,
Sleepiness.
Whatever you find,
Meet it with kindness.
And if you'd like,
Offer this quiet phrase,
Good morning body,
Thank you for carrying me.
Now take a moment to check in with your heart,
Ask,
What do I need today?
Pause and listen.
Now ask,
What do I want to bring into the world today?
It might be calm,
Focus,
Joy,
Patience,
Presence.
Choose one word,
Let it rise naturally.
Let it settle in your chest,
Let it guide you through your day.
As we come to the end of this short practice,
Know that you've already begun your day with care.
Let this moment ripple outward into whatever comes next.
Even when the world gets busy,
This stillness is always here beneath the noise.
Let's take one more deep breath together,
Inhale,
And as you're ready,
Slowly bring movement back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers,
Stretch gently if that feels good,
And thank yourself for showing up for you this morning.
You've already achieved something meaningful just by being here.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes if they were closed and carry this presence with you into the day ahead.
Go gently and begin again.
