Let's allow this practice to benefit your balance.
We're going to work with alternate nostril breathing.
The balancing effect of this breathing method slows your heart rate,
Strengthens your focus,
And helps regulate your nervous system.
If you are not sitting down with your feet planted on the ground,
Do so now.
Let's begin.
Keep your eyes open.
And let's imagine sitting in a beautiful countryside filled with loads of shades of green,
Such as emerald and pine.
What about fern and grasshopper greens?
Or bright lime and crisp green apple?
It feels like spring and the lawn is lush.
Using your thumb,
Close your right nostril.
Breathe in fully and slowly through your left nostril.
Use your index and middle fingers to close your left nostril.
Hold the breath.
Hold.
Release your thumb and exhale your right nostril fully.
Keep your left nostril closed with your index and middle fingers.
Breathe in fully and slowly through your right nostril.
Use your thumb to close your right nostril.
Hold the breath.
Hold.
Release your index and middle fingers.
Exhale your left nostril fully.
Keep your right nostril closed with your thumb.
Let's do it again.
Breathe in fully and slowly through your left nostril.
Use your index and middle fingers to close your left nostril.
Hold the breath.

Release your thumb and exhale your right nostril fully.
Keep your left nostril closed with your index and middle fingers.
Breathe in fully and slowly through your right nostril.

Take a big inhale.
Then deep exhale.
