This guided meditation helps athletes steady their mind when pressure, nerves, or overwhelm start to build. Through grounding breathwork and focused visualization, listeners learn to slow their internal pace and reconnect with a sense of control. The practice encourages clarity, confidence, and emotional regulation, allowing athletes to reset and refocus in moments of stress. By the end, athletes feel more centered, composed, and ready to meet their performance with intention and resilience. Hi,

Thanks very much for joining me for this Calm Under Pressure,

An athletic performance reset.

Let's start by finding a comfortable position.

Feet grounded,

Posture tall,

Breath steady.

Let this be a moment just for you.

Take a slow breath in and let it release.

You don't have to push away the overwhelm or pressure you might be feeling.

Every athlete experiences these moments.

This is simply your body asking for a reset.

Picture yourself pressing a reset button right here,

Right now.

With your next exhale,

Tap that button.

Feel the noise quiet.

The expectations loosen.

The pace slow down.

Bring your focus to your feet.

Feel the ground beneath them.

Solid,

Steady,

And supportive.

This is your foundation.

Now bring awareness to your breath.

Inhale,

Tall,

Strong,

And steady.

Exhale,

Long,

Slow,

And controlled.

Just like you practice in your sport,

Control the breath,

Control the moment.

If your thoughts start racing,

That's okay.

Just come back to this rhythm.

Inhale,

Focus.

Exhale,

Release.

Now imagine a warm,

Powerful light at the center of your chest.

Your inner strength.

This light represents your preparation,

Your skills,

Your resilience,

And everything that you've trained for.

With every breath,

Let this light expand through your body,

Down your arms,

Into your legs,

Across your shoulders.

Feel it filling you with clarity,

Confidence,

And grounded energy.

Let this thought settle in.

You don't have to do everything at once.

You only need to take the next step,

The next rep,

The next play.

Slowly see yourself stepping into your sport.

On the court,

The field,

The mat,

The studio,

Pool,

Track,

With this new grounded energy leading the way.

Steady,

Focused,

Ready.

Let's take one more strong inhale,

And on your exhale,

Release anything that doesn't belong in your mind right now.

The distractions,

The self-doubt,

The overthinking,

Let them drop away.

You are here.

You are ready.

You know what to do next.

When you're ready,

Gently move your body.

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes,

And let's bring this steady,

Powerful focus back with you.

Have a great game.
