Begin by finding a comfortable seated position with your feet on the floor and allow your eyes to close.
Take a deep inhale through your nose and exhale slowly,
Completely.
Breath in,
Breath out.
Each breath in,
Breathing in calmness,
Breath out,
Releasing tension.
Breath,
Breath in,
Breath out.
I want to begin this meditation with a quote from the book,
The Boy,
The Mole,
The Fox and the Horse.
When have you been at your strongest?
Asked the boy.
When I have dared to show my weakness,
Said the horse.
This meditation is about being kind,
Gentle to yourself,
Breath in,
Breath out.
Recognizing that it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed at times,
Especially when faced with challenging situations.
Allow yourself now to fully acknowledge and validate your emotions without judgment.
It might be uncomfortable to do so and I'd like to share a breathing technique to help calm,
Settle the mind.
Four,
Seven,
Eight,
Breath.
Inhale,
Hold,
Exhale.
Inhale,
Hold,
Exhale.
Inhale,
Hold,
Exhale.
Allow your breath now to return to its usual pace.
Noticing your breath now,
Breath coming in,
Breath floating out.
With each breath,
Imagine yourself surrounded by a cocoon of soothing light.
To help this visualization,
You might like to imagine yourself on a sunny day and the sun shining down on you gently.
This light is a symbol of love and compassion.
You feel embrace with its warmth and understanding and you feel its gentle energy washing over you,
Soothing your nerves,
Calming your mind.
Taking a breath in and a breath out.
Breath in,
Breath out.
As this light surrounds you,
Visualize a serene landscape unfolding before you.
Perhaps you're nestled beside a tranquil lake on the shores of a pristine beach.
Perhaps you're in a place where you can relax and be at peace with your body and your mind.
Perhaps you're in a place where you can relax and be at peace with your body and your mind.
Perhaps you're in a place where you can relax and be at peace with your body and your mind.
And letting go of any burdens,
Weighing you don't.
With each breath,
Draw in serenity.
With each breath out,
Releasing and letting go,
Deepen the breath.
And mentally say to yourself,
I am resilient.
I am capable.
And I grant myself permission to pause and recharge.
And allowing the breath to return to its usual pace.
In your own time,
Move the fingers,
Toes,
And gradually opening the eyes,
Carrying this newfound sense of peace and clarity with you.
Knowing you have the inner strength to overcome any obstacles that comes your way.
