Syncing Right & Left Brain - Binaural Isochronic Tone 400Hz
by Sarah Burger
This audio is for integrating information between the right and left brain hemispheres. Headphones will magnify the experience of binaural sound. Binaural sound works by activating the brain hemispheres simultaneously. It is sound that alternates between the left & right ears, the volume increasing and decreasing from one ear to the other. This can be helpful in the same way as bilateral movement, movement that crosses both sides of the body, to support emotional regulation and cognition. Isochronic tones are sounds of the same frequency, that repeat in steady, short bursts creating a pulsing sound. This Isochronic tone is at 400 Hz, an ultrafast frequency that is observed to affect the sensory cortices, information processing, and neural communication. Focusing on this binaural, isochronic tone draws the attention back and forth between the brain hemispheres. This activation helps synchronize information in the brain.
