Hi and welcome to today's meditation.

Thank you for being with me here today and I'm looking forward to helping you with something that's going to be pretty impactful I think and change how you perceive something that maybe you're struggling with at the moment.

So this meditation helps if you have a big decision to make in life.

Maybe you're something you're struggling with,

You're not sure which way to go or maybe there's a habit,

A bad habit that you want to stop doing or maybe a good habit that you want to take up and start doing.

This meditation is really going to help you with that and give you clarity and perspective.

And so just allow yourself before we drop in,

Let something come to mind,

A big decision you have maybe to take a job or not take a job,

To go on a date,

Not go on a date,

Get into a relationship with someone or not,

Take it to the next step,

Have children,

Leave a job,

Start a business or maybe it's a habit that you want to stop,

You know,

Maybe stop watching so much tv,

Binge watching or eating food that's not healthy and nutritious maybe stop drinking,

Stop taking drugs,

Stop having so much sex maybe you're being unfaithful,

Any behaviour,

Maybe you're on your phone a lot of the time with your kids and you want to do less of that or maybe it's something you want to do more of often the opposites of those things I just said,

Eat healthier,

Exercise start something you're afraid of doing,

A business,

Ask someone out be more open and friendly with people,

Be more loving,

Create more relationships,

Deeper relationships deeper relationships,

So let that come to mind now,

Just one for now you can always do this meditation again and pick another one later so once you have that,

If you don't have it yet you can always pause,

Sit down for a moment have a think and start this meditation again where you left off so closing your eyes,

Crossing your legs or feet on the floor sitting in a position where you won't fall asleep,

You're relaxed,

You can sit upright or just sit back slightly,

Relax but still aware,

Still alert,

And just noticing your breath,

Relaxing now,

Calming the body,

Relaxing the muscles and as I mentioned a part of your body,

You can just relax that part of your body more so the top of your head can relax sides of your head,

Your face,

Lips,

Eyes,

Tongue cheeks can relax,

Then just scan down your body doing the same at your own pace,

I'll just say some parts of the body,

Neck,

Shoulders chest,

Back,

Hips,

Legs,

Arms,

Fingers,

Knees,

Calves,

Feet,

Just relaxing the whole body and as you're completely relaxed,

You can just start to feel your body and as you're completely relaxed now,

I want you to imagine yourself sitting on a chair now the chair is exactly what you'd like with regard to comfort whether it's a soft chair,

Wooden chair,

Big chair,

Small chair you're sitting on this chair in an empty room,

And the room again is comfortable there's nothing particularly distinct about it,

But you feel safe,

You feel calm and as you look around the room,

As you're sitting on the chair,

You see there's a door,

Just over there and the door again is exactly what you'd imagine if you had the right kind of door to take you to the right kind of place to relax even more you'll learn something very important about making this decision so whether it's a metal door,

Wooden door,

Plastic door,

Bamboo door and as I count from 5 down to 1,

You'll start to walk over to the door with each number there's a step closer and closer until when I say 1,

You'll put your hand on the door,

You'll open it and you'll walk through now on the other side of that door is a beautiful place,

A relaxing place maybe a place of nature,

A beach,

A forest,

Somewhere that you can go to,

To feel really calm,

Safe and relaxed so when you do open that door,

You'll be there my voice will go with you wherever you go so 5,

Standing up 4,

Getting closer to the door 3,

Closer still 2,

Reaching out 1,

Opening the door and going through into that other space,

That natural space,

That calm space and just looking around and noticing what's around you now whether there's water,

Trees,

Grass,

Sand,

I don't know,

You know that just notice what's around,

Notice the sounds that you can hear notice the things you can see and have a little walk around and the more you walk around,

The more relaxed you feel and if it feels comfortable,

You can have bare feet to really connect to the ground you're walking on or if not,

You can have something on your feet,

Whichever works for you walking around,

Taking it in,

Maybe you notice you're smiling feeling so comfortable and calm and relaxed ready to learn something very important about this decision you're going to make and so in a moment,

You're going to see a tree somewhere a big,

Beautiful,

Wise tree,

Magical tree that really feels safe and walk to that tree now and sit underneath and you sit there and you close your eyes under that tree a tree of knowledge,

A tree of wisdom for learning almost like you're plugging yourself into that tree to learn something important about this decision,

This new habit,

This new behaviour and you close your eyes under that tree,

Relax more deeply now ready to learn something important and as your eyes close,

I want you to imagine that there's just a space just black space feels safe,

Feels nice,

Feels calm,

Feels peaceful and then as you look around,

You start to notice in front of you there's some kind of light,

Something you can see and as you look more closely,

You notice that it's a representation of your timeline of life and I don't know if it's from left to right,

Birth to death,

Or right to left or going out behind you and in front of you,

Or twirling around or different images,

But there's a representation of your life timeline and so just start to notice it from when you were born to present day and you can expand out if you need to,

To really see it all and you notice even from birth to death there might be even significant moments that are represented with colours or images or sounds and as you look as you look to your present day,

You can see maybe all the way down there on the timeline,

The present moment and it's you sitting wherever you were sitting or are sitting,

Listening to this meditation and then as you look beyond that,

You notice there's a small significant colour or dot and there's another one next to it and one dot on that timeline,

Just after this meditation happens represents you changing and doing that good new habit that new behaviour,

Or stopping doing that bad behaviour or making that certain decision that scares you and there's another choice represented as one dot and another choice,

That other choice might be letting what scares you defeat you not changing for the better keeping that bad habit or not taking on that new good habit and so there's effectively two choices you can see in your timeline one that you really know you want that you might just be afraid of doing or think you don't know how and the other one,

Where you're more just giving in and you know it's not really good for you and I want you to see from those dots,

Two separate timelines,

Split one version is the good choice the thing that you deep down know is healthiest for you,

Best for you and others around you or at least feels like the bravest thing to do and the other timeline that's split off is that other version and I want you to notice them just moving now,

Through time maybe it goes up,

It goes down,

Each different timeline in a different way maybe one goes down,

One goes up noticing the colours representing the different feelings and emotions and things that happen in that new future of yours those two different futures,

And I want you first just to focus more on the one where you didn't make the choice to change,

That you kept smoking,

That you kept drinking,

That you stayed in that relationship that wouldn't really help you,

Whatever the decision is that you know wouldn't really be good for you deep down,

And I want you to start to float towards that future and as you get closer and closer I want you to dive in to sections of it and notice what life is like,

What life is like six months on one year on just in you go,

Notice what your relationship is like,

What your health is like and then pop out,

Little snapshots of your life then go further forward,

Two years notice what it's like,

Pop out again of the timeline,

Go further forward,

Five years,

Ten years I want you to start to go way ahead in the future now,

Way way ahead and you can kind of start to see the pattern that's forming if you don't make that decision and you keep doing what you're doing that's deep down you know not good for you notice the colours of the timeline and get all the way to the end of the timeline,

Maybe that timeline is much shorter than the other timeline where you make a good choice,

A healthy choice go to the end of the timeline and in a minute when you go into the end of it where it ends,

It stops,

There's no more I'll count from five down to one,

You'll get closer and then you'll enter that point of the timeline and you're going to meet your older self,

Yourself at that time,

Whether it's five years on,

Ten years on,

But it's the end of your life,

Maybe it's fifty years on and you're going to speak to that you shortly and that you's going to tell you some very important things you need to hear or that you can hear,

So five,

Four floating closer to it now,

Three,

Closer still,

Two and one,

Going into that moment now look around,

You notice you're in either a room or you're outside,

Are you inside or outside are you with people,

Aside from your older self or is it just you and your older self and I want you just to look at what you look like after the decisions you made how it affected your life and I want you to go over to that you,

That older you and ask him or her a question that's important for you to know it might be,

Was this the right decision for me what do I need to know so I don't end up here what wisdom do you want to share with me what did I not know that if I had I wouldn't have made this choice so ask that you a question now and don't answer it yourself,

Let that you that older you,

That wiser you that's learnt from going with unhealthy behaviours and ways of being educate you in some way maybe they say something to you,

Maybe they give something to you,

A picture or an object maybe they whisper something in your ear maybe they just hug you and you feel what they feel and you get it all in that moment and allowing them to transmit those understandings those learnings so you don't make this choice that you have the courage to make healthier choices for yourself and taking those learnings and understandings with you,

Maybe hugging them high-fiving them,

Waving at them goodbye and then starting to float out of that memory that timeline up,

Up,

Up,

Higher and higher up into that space again,

Seeing that timeline over there or down there or up there,

Whatever it is to you and then turn your attention to the other timeline,

The timeline where you made that healthy choice,

You did that thing that scared you you went the way that you knew was less certain maybe more scary but you had courage,

Bravery and you did it anyway notice that timeline now and do the same thing start to see moments along that timeline of what happens how your life is,

Maybe there's happier moments,

Maybe there's moments of struggle that create resilience and keep moving along as you wish until eventually you start to see the end of that life and maybe it's much longer,

Maybe it's not but I imagine it'll be longer if you took healthier choices longer and longer than the other timeline and go into the end of it,

The end of your life just before and start to go closer,

5,

Closer still,

4,

Going closer 3,

2,

1 and meeting that older you in that version of that reality and do the same thing,

Notice where you are inside or outside are there other people there,

Maybe you have other children there loved ones there,

A whole different life there and see that older you in front of you,

Go over to that you,

That older you and do the same ask questions,

What do you want to tell me what can I learn from you,

How can I make sure this reality becomes a reality so ask a question or some questions and then see what that older you has to say,

What wisdom again maybe it's just a hug to transmit the information holding of a hand an important object they give you or objects,

A picture something from childhood maybe or a poignant moment in your life or maybe it's something they say to you that helped them make that choice all the way back then and change the trajectory of their life and then when you're ready thank them say goodbye in your own way with love and start to float out of that timeline again out higher and higher and higher into that space once more higher and higher until it's distant and in this moment and in this moment take these learnings,

Make a choice inside yourself,

Which reality,

Which version,

Which future would you like and in a moment when I count from 1 to 5 you're going to start to move towards a door,

There's a door in the space,

Like a door of light as I count from 1 to 5 you'll move closer and closer and eventually when I say 5 you'll go through that door of light and you'll be fully back,

You'll have gone back through the tree back in the chair and then back into where you are now bringing with you all those learnings,

All those insights and so 1 start to move closer to that bright light white door in space,

2 moving closer still,

3 bringing with you all those learnings and understandings,

4 closer still almost there,

5 and through that door and you're able just to slowly realise you're listening to this meditation you're aware of your body and you can when you're ready open your eyes,

Bringing with you all those learnings and understandings from those futures and those conversations with those older selves and just maybe having a stretch,

Thanking yourself for taking the time and just noticing how you feel about that decision or that behaviour now,

Which way you want to go of course the choice is always yours and that's the beauty of it you have the agency,

You have the ownership over how your life is and so I wish you all the luck with the decision you're going to make,

Initially, this meditation felt as there was nothing for me to learn from it, but I stayed with it and revised my thought that it reminded me life is short, follow my dream. Thank you.

This was an amazing meditation and I loved the idea. It was a bit hard, though, to choose between two different options when I don’t know which is the best of them, when you said one was an unhealthy/bad choice and the other healthy/good. My question was if we should buy a specific house or another house.
