This meditation is for the moment when your body has left work, but your nervous system hasn’t. A short, guided reset to interrupt the mental replay, unclench your jaw (yes, that jaw), and step out of work mode. This meditation is for the moment when your body has left work, but your nervous system hasn’t. Use it when the day is technically over, but your brain didn’t get the memo to unwind and release.

Hello,

This is your soul vitamins meditation to release work stress.

And I'm Sarah,

And I'll be your guide through this meditation.

Find a comfortable place to sit,

Wiggle around a little bit and get some of the fidgets out.

And when you're ready,

Please close your eyes and start to breathe naturally.

Inhale and exhale.

Slowly in,

Slowly out.

All you have to do in this moment is breathe.

If you're feeling the work stress and it feels heavy at the moment,

As you're breathing,

Imagine that this stress is like having a storm or a hurricane in your life.

See the chaos that the storm brings,

But continue to breathe in and out.

Let the work stress swirl around outside of you.

Continue to breathe.

You are safe.

Within this hurricane,

There is an eye to the storm.

Look at the eye.

See the eye of the storm.

Imagine that you are looking from a satellite above the earth and you can see the still,

Calm center,

The eye of the storm,

All while you're breathing in and out.

Now find yourself in the center of this storm.

You can feel and see the chaos around you,

But you feel very peaceful.

All you're doing is breathing in and out.

You are relaxed and calm.

See that the storm is like your work life and that you are the eye of the storm at the moment.

You can see what's going on around you.

You can see the things that could stress you out,

But they don't.

All you're doing is breathing.

They don't stress you out because you're in the eye of the storm.

You have placed yourself in the center where it's peaceful and calm.

You breathe in and you breathe out.

And you see clearly that you have a choice whether to step into the storm and get dragged into the stress.

This does not mean hiding in your room,

Locking yourself away.

It means that now you see you have a choice of how you react when someone says something or something happens in your life.

You breathe in.

You breathe out.

You have a choice whether you step into the storm and get carried away by the chaos or to stay calm,

Balanced,

And at ease knowing that all is well as long as you keep breathing in and out.

As long as you keep being calm and balanced,

Calm and loving,

At ease and in love,

Breathing in and out.

That's all.

In and out.

Open your eyes and know that you will take this calm,

Balanced,

Peaceful choice with you as you get back to your work.

You are calm.

You are balanced.

You are peaceful.

I liked everything about this meditation, when I was a child growing up in a very chaotic home I would go to the field on a hill and sit on my rock and contemplate peace and become calm. When I would enter the chaos again it was this feeling that sustained me through it. This meditation brought me back to that rock and the peace that still sustains me today. Thank you so much for your precious insight and the gift of presence you give. I personally thought the whole thing was perfect! 💕

Excellent perspective! One can't do much while spinning out of control, but sitting peacefully at the centre of the storm you may be pushed sometimes, but there is a lot more you can influence change from there.
