This is a really gentle,
Really quick reset button for when you are feeling stress or anxiety and you just want to feel a little bit calmer before you move on to the next stage of your day.
So taking a seat,
Whether that's at a chair or on the floor,
I want you to roll your shoulders back,
Lift the crown of your head towards the sky.
There's a little bit of tension in your belly just to keep you supported upright to prevent you slumping into your seat,
But not too much tension that it's uncomfortable.
I want you to take a big inhale through your nose and exhale it all out through your mouth,
Using as much force as you feel is required to release that tension.
And again,
Big inhale through the nose,
Drawing in all that lovely fresh oxygen and exhaling out anything that doesn't serve you through the mouth.
And again,
In your own time,
Breathing in and exhaling out.
Continuing with that breath,
There's nowhere for you to be right now,
There's nowhere else better for you to be right now than here in this moment.
So every time a thought enters your head,
Observe it like a bus passing you in the street.
We're not getting on the bus,
We're not chatting to anyone on the bus,
We just watch it pass.
Noticing if you have any tension in your shoulders or in your face.
If you're holding on to any tension in any of those areas or another area that feels tight for you,
Can you direct your breath towards that part of your body?
Can you send the breath to that part of your body,
Asking it to relax?
Letting those areas of tension melt away.
We often hold tension in our body when we're stressed.
We're just asking it now to relax and let go.
Breathing in new energy,
New prana,
New oxygen,
New opportunity and releasing anything that doesn't serve us anymore.
Visualising any tension leaving the body,
Imagine it going out into the air,
Into the universe where it's being dealt with.
It's no longer your problem.
Enjoy the rest of your day,
Come back to your breath whenever you feel tension,
Take yourself off somewhere quietly for a few moments,
Come back to this meditation.
Namaste.
