Welcome,

Welcome.

Today we're going to be doing a mountain meditation and I guess to get us started I invite us to find a posture,

A position,

A place of practice that gives you a sense of being grounded and connected connecting the parts of the body that are coming into contact with something paying attention to that or those sensations of pressure,

Of contact,

Maybe temperature the lower part of the body rooted,

Grounded and the top part of the body expanding,

Opening up,

Reaching towards the heavens being like a,

Like a mountain taking a few moments if you'd like to begin to embody qualities,

Features,

Elements of a mountain perhaps embodying a greater sense of steadiness of strength,

Embodying the mountain as best you can taking a few moments to breathe with more awareness breathing into the peaks and into the foundations of the mountain it may be supportive to to actually imagine a mountain,

Maybe one you're familiar with maybe one you visited or maybe just a made-up mountain exploring the possibility of allowing these concepts and images to to integrate into the body furthermore becoming like the mountain the invitation now is to imagine that the mountain is covered in snow that the temperature is far below freezing that there's a storm brewing that the environment is,

Is very difficult yet in the midst of this the mountain remains steady strong grounded you are the mountain strong,

Steady,

Grounded in the midst of,

Of any storm now inviting you to imagine that the weather is changing that the storm surpasses the clouds disperse and the sun is radiating on the mountain the snow is melting melts away more life returns to the mountain and an ideal environment is created for many species and in the midst of all this the mountain is there steady strong grounded perhaps repeating to yourself I am the mountain at your core,

At your center your awareness there's this strength there's this steadiness there's this groundedness to this present moment it's always there,

You can always pay more attention to it regardless of the storm,

The sun,

Whatever the weather is you are the mountain repeating to yourself if you'd like,

I am the mountain you are the mountain regardless of the thoughts,

The feelings,

The sensations,

The impulses,

The stimuli you are the mountain I am the mountain allowing ourselves a few moments now to to connect with,

To better integrate the learnings of of this mountain meditation may the learnings from the mountain meditation serve you best may you connect with that inner mountainous like strength and steadiness and groundedness regardless of the weather regardless of what the moment is like for you thank you kindly and giving yourself a few moments to transition out of this meditation
