Hello,

Welcome in.

This is a safe space,

A space designated for you to relax and check in with yourself.

To start off our time together,

We're going to take a moment to simply check in,

Followed by taking mindful breaths together before ultimately having you come back into the space around you.

To start off,

I'm going to encourage you to go ahead and place your feet firmly on the ground underneath you.

If that isn't calling to you or simply not accessible,

I encourage you to know of all the points of contact between you and the world around you.

Once you've made note of these contacts,

I provide an offering for you to close your eyes or to take a nice heavy gaze,

Just taking a moment to settle in.

Now that we're settled in,

I invite you to look inwards and notice your breath.

We're not judging here,

Simply noticing.

Perhaps our inhales are short or long.

Maybe we're noticing we're holding our breath.

Whatever it is,

No judgment.

We're simply noticing.

If you find at any point your mind is wandering,

You're having trouble settling into this quick practice,

I encourage you to bring your attention back to those points of contact between you and the world around you.

Now,

Let's go ahead and take some mindful breaths together.

Here,

We're going to breathe in through our nose,

Hold for just a moment,

And then exhale out through our mouth.

Inhale through the nose,

Hold for just a moment,

And exhale through the mouth.

You're welcome to make your exhale as long and loud as you'd like.

I'm going to take a few more like this.

Inhaling up through the nose,

Holding my air for a moment,

And then going ahead and exhaling.

I'm going to encourage you to take a few more breaths at your own pace.

No judgment here either.

We're just noticing.

Noticing our breath.

Inhale through the nose,

Hold,

Exhale through the mouth.

Now,

I invite you,

One last time,

To take note of where you are connected to the world around you.

Allow it to hold you.

Take one more mindful breath in through the nose,

Hold,

And exhale through the mouth.

Slowly and at your own pace,

I encourage you to start fluttering your eyes open if they were closed,

And looking at the world around you,

Welcoming yourself back into the space.
